June’s X-Men #35 caps 700 issues of Uncanny comics, and the end of the story run, “The Krakoan Era” that began in 2019. What a ride, and surreal to see the logo that marked an era close a chapter
“I’ve never been shy about showing and sharing my work with the world. I’ve always used the internet, and now especially social media platforms to constantly share what I do with as many people I can. I think that’s one way of raising awareness at least.
The other is that I always aim at keeping connections and networks alive. Over the years many clients will move around to different companies and keep me in mind, or recommend me to their network. Work hard, do good work, be nice to people and share as much as you can.”

THE SIX FINGERS #1 is in stores today and continues the ambitious interconnected sci-fi neo-noir by & with lettering by and colours by . THE SIX FINGERS connects with THE ONE HAND by & Lawrence Campbell, released earlier this month. For both series I designed an interconnected design system built around a cypher grid that shifts across the series as the story unfolds. Each issue has connections and contrasting covers by Sumit Kumar and Laurence Campbell — unified through the grid.
Late last year I designed the visual identity for new independent publisher and their inaugural release, the graphic novel THE ROMAN STARS — from creators & — an account of Julius Caesar’s violent battle with his own myth, his family, the Roman government and the surrounding galaxies.
Mixing a punk DIY ethos with high end production values and unique stories, they are harnessing the power and reach of Kickstarter to publish to the discerning reader who likes branded socks.

As 2023 is slowly winding down (not yet though), it’s time to have a quick look back—and this year has been amazing; continuing work with longtime clients and partners, but also starting new professional relationships that will hopefully carry on into the future (and those are ones I can publicly talk about).

Back in 2020 I was tapped by AKQA in Washington to help them develop the logo, visual identity and package artwork for the 10th anniversary of Skyrim, the legendary game in the Elder Scrolls franchise.
Working closely with the Group Creative Director, the result was a bespoke rendering of the iconic Dragon Mark, with an inset ‘10’ customised to reflect Skyrim’s heritage, with anniversary livery added to the mark, which was accompanied with comprehensive usage guidelines.
For the anniversary edition packaging a regal, gilded interpretation of the Dragon Mark was created, surrounded by iconography from the game celebrating its fans and legacy.
Just announced! is teaming up with to create a new publishing imprint HIGH STRANGENESS, launching in 2025! Here’s the announcement teaser, with masthead and design by me, with art by ! Stay tuned for more.
