📔 Cut to the chase

عطينا الزبدة يا زلمة 😂

📋Meaning
If you’re speaking to a group of people, like your employees, and say I’m going to cut to the chase, it means that there are a few things that need to be said but there’s very little time, so you’ll skip to the important parts so everyone understands.

🤔For example ⬇️

🗣 “Hi guys, as we don’t have much time here, so I’m going to cut to the chase. We’ve been having some major problems in the office lately.”

🗣 "cut to the chase—what is it you want us to do?"

Hi every one

13/04/2021

As today is also the first day of the holy month of Ramadan for the approximately 2 billion Muslims around the word, lets look at the word "fast".

FAST can be both a noun and a verb.

As a verb, it means to not eat or drink certain things or anything at all for a period of time.

Example: During Ramadan, people fast from sunrise until sunset.

As a noun, it is the event/period of time in which you do not eat or drink certain things.

Example: I am doing a 2-day fast next week.

This is also where the word "breakfast" comes from. To break your fast means to eat for the first time after a period of fasting. When you eat breakfast, you are breaking your overnight fast.

Things I know people are going to comment about:

1. I know fasting during Ramadan is not precisely sunrise to sunset, but that is how we describe it simply in English.

2. No. I am not Muslim.

3. Yes. "Fast" can be an adjective. The car is fast.
