Position summary:

Tasks:
Coordinates with location managers on employment opportunities available throughout the company and the job description that goes along with them
Advertise employee job openings through the company website, recruitment services, and social media
Sort and review resumes and ensures the location manager receives them in a timely manner
Assist hiring managers throughout the hiring process
Enroll and terminate employees in the health benefits and carrier portal in a timely manner

Position Title: Shop Accountant
Position summary:
The Shop Accountant will possess an understanding of financial accounting standards & procedures and apply knowledge to properly oversee all financial transactions at the shop level along with heavy inventory. This position will be responsible for the preparation and interpretation of month end closing activities, inventory control and billing analysis. This position provides recommendations to management in support of the achievement of company goals. Position reports to Corporate Accounting.
Tasks:
• Provide financial direction/support to shop managers/core management teams
• Prepare financial analysis to monitor spending in key areas (labor, inventory, etc.)
• Maintain active participation in plant operations
• Monitor and enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
• Participate and facilitate cost reduction in inventory procedures
• Prepare physical inventory reporting and cycle count analysis
• Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with shop costs and inventory valuation
• Assist with the review of excess/obsolete inventory/long lead time inventory
• Conduct inventory reconciliations monthly
• Prepare various financial models, as appropriate; prepare and review various account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly WIP analysis
• Analyze plant labor and inventory transactions for optimal billing levels
• Perform work order review/analysis for accuracy and completeness
• Participate in month-end close activities/related variances, analysis, monthly shop performance
• Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis and internal audit of material issues, shop labor and work order processing
• Review Freight In/Out on a monthly basis
• Represent Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce costs, eliminate error, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills:
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where standardization generally exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral format.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Position summary:
Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
Tasks:
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and
positions for welding.
• Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or
arc-cutting equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas
tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
• Examine workpieces for defects, and measure workpieces with templates to ensure conformance with specifications and application of ACF Side Sill Modifications when necessary.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking,
distortion, or expansion of material.
• Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications, or types and thicknesses of metals.
• Fill holes and increase the size of metal parts.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors.
• Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

• Repair or replace defective or worn parts such as bearings, pistons, and gears, using hand tools, torque
wrenches, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Test units for operability before and after repairs.
• Record conditions of cars, and repair and maintenance work performed or to be performed.
• Remove locomotives, car mechanical units, or other components, using pneumatic hoists and jacks, pinch
bars, hand tools, and cutting torches.
• Inspect components such as bearings, seals, gaskets, wheels, and coupler assemblies to determine if repairs
are needed.
• Adjust repaired or replaced units as needed to ensure proper operation.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, and clean units and components.
• Repair, fabricate, and install steel or wood fittings, using blueprints, shop sketches, and instruction
manuals.
• Repair and maintain electrical and electronic controls for propulsion and braking systems.
• Disassemble units such as water pumps, control valves, and compressors so that repairs can be made.
• Measure diameters of axle wheel seats, using micrometers, and mark dimensions on axles so that wheels
can be bored to specified dimensions.
• Align car sides for installation of car ends and crossties, using width gauges, turnbuckles, and wrenches.
• Replace defective wiring and insulation, and tighten electrical connections, using hand tools.
• Test electrical systems of cars by operating systems and using testing equipment such as ammeters

Non-destructive testing (NDT) technician needs to be familiar with UT, UTT, PT, MT, VT, RVT, BT methods.
Must be able to pass three exams for each method. He or she needs be familiar with Railcar Tank cars or ASME
pressure vessels.
Must be able to climb ladders and enter confined spaces. Must be able to communicate with certified welders and repair shop personnel.
Tasks:
• Perform Non-Destructive testing on Railcar Tank Cars
• Interpret drawings, read procedures and interpret welding symbols
• Complete detailed reports in PDF, Excel and Word
Skills:
