Hi All, please be careful when opening any messages from us.
There has been reports we've sent a message to people asking "how we can donate to your organisation and volunteer".
I think they've just copied our original profile picture and made a new account.
Nothing appears to have been hacked.
I've temporarily changed our profile picture to the two beautiful horses I've outside my air bnb atm so if you're receiving messages with the old club picture please report them.

We have a working bee on our 4 top end hunts this weekend sat the 29th at 1 pm and all day Sunday the 30th. Meet at Turnball’s beach house . Camp over at Turnball’s house at Arno bay with a BYO BBQ sat night . Bring all u need

2023 State Hunt information below.

We're very sad to hear of Mrs Alison Turnbull's passing. She was a well respected member of the Southern Eyre Club family and will be remembered fondly by all.

The funeral of our beloved Carlene Doudle will be on Monday 22nd of Aug, 1pm at the wangary cemetery, then back to the wangar community centre after
I would love to invite all members riding and on riding to join us in a gard of honour. If you have hunting entire please come jackets and jodhpurs.
We will be handing out port to all attending as they enter.
Let’s honour the contribution this incredible lady has giving to our club.

Vale Carlene Doudle.
This lovely, funny, long time SEHC member and cheeky lady passed away late last week.
To say shock was my first reaction upon hearing the news was an understatement having only seen Carlene and having a conversation with her at Stirrup Cup during the State hunt at Marble View just a few weeks ago. She was happy, feeling good and full of her usual laughter.

Her passing has hit many of our club members hard.
She was a valuable mentor and a strong presence for many as the woman who taught them to ride or encouraged horsey pursuits, and overall, she was a friend, generous with solid advice and wisdom.
For me she was the actively witty, delicious soup making, generous lady from Limestone Lodge who didn't mind a little drag racing in her vehicle on the wet grass and always had a giggle to share.

I was scrolling back through photos to try and find a nice one of Carlene to share with you all to accompany this little post, but some of my favourite memories of this wonderful lady include watching her fly around Limestone, her car full of cackling ladies and loud laughter echoing as she made the other car followers race to catch up, so this photo seems appropriate.

Carlene, you are loved by so many. Your memory will be cherished by all who knew you. We send our deepest sympathy to your children and family. Rest easy, you will be missed.

The Final Write Up for the Season

The final run of the Southern Eyre Hunt Club’s season was held at Turnbulls Beach in Arno Bay on Saturday. The club converged on the property for a camp out - those few brave souls that faced the cold...

RIP Pooper Scooper.
This sorry scooper was found by a driver on the way out, a little worse for ware (maybe one too many at the Arno pub?)
If you're missing one, it's safe to say it might be in pooper scooper heaven.
