I used to be that photographer who wanted to book every single client who reached out- so I adapted to everyone else’s vision. Let people dictate the session, the location, the outfits. I let clients send me photos of other photographers’ work and tried to emulate that because I was a people pleaser and I thought that giving my clients full control over everything would make them happier with the end result. Boy was I wrong. It took me years to learn that lesson. I started staying consistent to my brand and what I do well. Now I book more clients than ever before and the best part is I book my ideal client because they come to me for my personal style. I get to be me and create art that I love and the people that are drawn to that style find me and trust me because they know going into the session what the final product is going to look like! No Sunday scaries here… I’m gearing up for a full week of newborn sessions 🤩 What is scary is when I have to turn down clients because I’m fully booked. 😭 I’m currently booking well into August with many weeks already full so please if you’re expecting and hoping to book a session, don’t wait to reach out 💓🙃

We keep the props pretty simple around here these days! BUT I always do a couple images of baby all swaddled up in a basket or bowl. Swaddling is one of my top 3 soothing techniques if baby starts to fuss during the session. Works almost every time!

Here’s to simplifying everything in 2024. If these images don’t speak to my brand and my artistic and personal aesthetic, then I don’t know what does! A few thoughts here: 1. How cute is this little guy and how amazing does mama look! 2. You don’t need fancy props- these images will surely stand the test of time. 3. I can’t wait to capture baby brother’s newborn session and am already planning for the cutest sibling photos EVER… big bro don’t let me down 😂💙💙
