𝑨 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑬𝒊𝒅 𝑴𝒖𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒌 to all of the Muslims out there! May this Eid bring you joy, peace, and countless blessings! 🌟🤲🏽

As we celebrated 𝐄𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐥-𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐥-𝐀𝐡𝐝𝐚, let us also commemorate a Muslim who contributed a lot to the world of mathematics.

(𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: He is one of the 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣 𝘐𝘋 𝘓𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴) 💭

𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗯𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝗹-𝗞𝗵𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗺𝗶 is a mathematician, astronomer, and geographer who lived during the Islamic Golden Age. He is referred to as the "𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙡𝙜𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖" for his pioneering works in the said field. Al-Khwarizmi also contributed to the development of arithmetic, geometry, and astronomy.

His name gave rise to "𝒂𝒍𝒈𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒎," which is derived from the Latinized version of his name, Algoritmi. He authored several influential works, including "Kitab al-Mukhtasar fi Hisab al-Jabr wal-Muqabala" (The Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing), which laid the foundations of algebra as a mathematical discipline.

𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪? 🤔

May we never forget the man who left such an impact to the world of mathematics; algebra to be specific. Let us commemorate him by 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲. 💙💛

𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣.

Women's Month 2024 29/03/2024

As we give thanks to all of the women who made an impact in our lives, the Mathematics Club would like to take our time and give thanks to our intelligent and kind Club Adviser.

Behind every success of our events, there she is, continuously guiding and cheering for her officers. Without her guidance, triumphs wouldn't be achieved. Thank you for believing in our capabilities. You fueled us to go above and beyond; excellence, they may say.

You are the reason why we keep on going. A teacher so effective and kind, at the same time. Thank you for being our second mother. You really took care of us every time there was an event or activity in school. We cherish every moment spent with you. We appreciate how you made the Grade Ten Officers' last year in KJCIS such a blast with your cheerful and lovable personality.

No student is indeed left behind if Ma'am Elaine is around. She checks up on her students on how they're doing, academically and emotionally. She's a teacher we aspire to be. Keep on being humble and pretty, Ma'am Elaine. The KJCIS JHS Mathematics Club Officers love and appreciate you so much. Even long paragraphs couldn't express the gratitude we have for you.

We love you so much, Ma'am Elaine Joy Tumampil! 💙💛

ELAINE JOY TUMAMPIL

As we reflect on our academic journey, we cannot help but express our profound gratitude to our Ma'am Elaine for unwavering dedication, guidance, and support.

Through her engaging math lessons, she is not just teaching us numbers but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Beyond the classroom, she organized various activities in our school, from math competitions to fun learning games, enriching our educational experience. What sets her apart is her approachability; she's not just a teacher but a friend. We feel comfortable talking to her about anything, whether it's math-related or personal, creating a supportive environment where we can grow academically and personally. Ma'am Elaine's dedication and warmth have truly made a difference in shaping our junior high school journey.

Our Ma'am Elaine, taught us many lessons in life. She makes us happy with her contagious laugh. Her clean heart and soul create peace and unity in our classroom. Her busy schedule is not a hindrance to her loving, teaching, and laughing with us, her students. Our Ma'am Elaine is a funny and bubbly person, but when it comes to life lessons, she is different. Even when Ma'am Elaine is angry, you can't sense it since her calm and soft voice echoes in our ears and hearts. We are no longer afraid of raising our hands to recite because her kindness doesn't intimidate us. We fully release our potential through her learning.

Thank you for being more than simply a teacher; you are a mentor, a role model, and an inspiration. Your determination to develop young minds is admirable, and your contributions to society are immeasurable.

1. 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗢 (𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏) - A game where instead of seeing numbers on the card, you will need to solve a simple math equation that'll make you earn an exciting prize. Is the equation hard? No, it isn't. It is composed of addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

2. 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 (𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏) - This is a game that will make you solve to get to the other side and win a 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 ✨️ surprise! The only difference of math twister to the traditional twister game is that for you to unlock a spin, you have to solve a facile equation. Let your mind feel the moment and survive the Math Twister.

3. 𝗣𝗢𝗣 𝗜𝗧 💥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗧 💭 - A game that involves popping a balloon and solving a simple math equation. We will have a collection of balloons ready for you to pick out and pop. We know the feeling of relief when you've tackled all subjects leading up to the second-to-last one for the day. The lovely bliss of thinking when you'll start reviewing tomorrow's exam lessons and considering how to spend your spare time before diving into the study session, all part of the periodical season.

The Periodical Examination might be a heart-wrenching event to us students but it sure does make us realize an important thing that we should always have in us, time management. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐲, 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐛𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞. ⏳️💬

𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 24, 2023, an incredible day for our School. Not only did we celebrate the third year of Kapitan Jose Cardones Integrated School having an 'Integrated' in its name, but we also pledged to go above and beyond our responsibilities. Our journey as newly elected Mathematics Club Officers is just getting started. We have a lot in store for all of you. May you continue to support us in our journey to “𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.”

A long but impactful speech was delivered by our dearest school principal, which surely motivated each and every one of us to make a difference in our beloved KJCIS. We thank Dr. Romeo O. Olalo for supporting the organizations and clubs.

We solemnly pledge not only to fulfill the responsibilities of our roles in the Mathematics club but also to go above it, striving to elevate our fellow students' mathematical journey with compassion, dedication, and enthusiasm. ♡︎
