Announcing our 3rd panellist, Indrani Mukherjee!
Indrani's research explores links between early Earth evolution, the origin of complex life and formation of precious mineral deposits. Indrani completed her PhD at UTAS, then worked as a postdoctoral researcher there until 2022. She then pursued the Roger E Deane Fellowship at University of Toronto. Currently, Indrani is a lecturer and researcher at UNSW.

Mikayla is a geophysicist at Newcrest Mining (soon to be Newmont!). After Masters, she moved to Townsville & was a field geologist for TerraSearch. She then moved to Perth for Newcrest's 2yr grad program in exploration geology at the Havieron Project. Before two years finished, she transitioned into her dream role as full-time geophysicist.

Jess is a Senior Research Scientist in the Mineral Resources Business Unit of the CSIRO, Australiaβs National Science Agency, where she leads the Mineral Footprints Team and is chair of Pride@CSIRO.
She works at the interface of research and the minerals industry developing tools and applications of spectral datasets from the X-ray to far-infrared for critical minerals exploration.

Hear from Helen Bostock, a marine geologist and oceanographer at the University of Queensland.
Her research has focussed on the southwest Pacific and Southern Ocean, understanding the ocean circulation and ocean-climate interactions via the carbon cycle.
She has spent much of her career working in research agencies including Geoscience Australia and NIWA, prior to returning to academia to fulfil her passion for teaching.

π Special World Oceans' Day Seminar π
On 8th June, the ever-inspiring Helen Bostock will reflect on her experiences as a marine geologist and oceanographer who has gone to sea for several-week stints on large research vessels, inc. to the Southwest Pacific, Southern Ocean and Antarctica.
She will reflect on "personal experiences and the improvements I have seen over 20 years that have made it easier and more welcoming for women, but also provide suggestions how to support women in oceanography in the future".
