My track "Grandad" is one of my favourites from the album. So, I made a video of me nostalgically talking about the story behind it, followed by a snippet of me playing my Grandad's track on his beautiful Eko Guitar - the guitar that I learned my first fingerstyle track on.
RIP you kind, stoic, LEGEND. I miss you, and I wish you got to hear it.

I started recording "Route to Rebirth" two years ago. So much work, tears of frustration / joy and sleepiness nights are behind this. It's difficult to explain in words, because I'm feeling a lot right now... I wish my Grandad could have heard the track I dedicated to him. His guitar sounded absolutely beautiful, and I'm so glad I made the decision to use his guitar on that track. ❤️
So much is going on in the world, and it's easy to invalidate feelings. I'm lucky to not be in survival mode. I find it hard to express how thankful I am to be in this position, and to the people who have been there throughout.
I have so much love for my fiance, James. He's been my light and source of inspiration, he's always there, he just grounds me, and I couldn't love him anymore right now. You're my favourite human ❤️ I love you so much.
BIG love to my family too, and to everyone who has supported me along the way.

I’ll be doing a couple of short sets at the Poets and Players event on Sat 28 Oct in Manchester. :) Address is Chorlton Mill, 3 Cambridge Street, M1 5BZ.

Temple Tent Sessions was an absolute pleasure. ❤️ If you're from the , UK area you HAVE to check this out. It's situated in a beautiful old growth forest by a lake, and my good friends Rob Barnaville and Nix Barnaville from PhoeNix Wellbeing run monthly events here.
They've had some incredible musicians in the past, and this is undoubtedly one of my all time favourite venues. Gig highlight: being pushed in a wheelbarrow and having a wasp chill on my guitar mid-set. 🐝 Good times.
It was really great to meet Deo Salvator for the first time, who played absolutely beautifully ❤️ Rob and Vladimir Chernyshov absolutely killed it too.

I can't express how grateful I am to everyone that I've worked with. I know that this video doesn't capture the quality, but I wanted to share a tiny snippet of track #3 "Composure" (mixed with Tonewood-Amp reverb).
Huge thank you to Andy Sorenson for mixing / mastering my album. It's been such a pleasure working with you, and I genuinely couldn't be happier with the outcome. 😊 After hearing Jon Gomm's and Janet Noguera's album release, firstly, I was COMPLETELY blown away and inspired by the raw beauty of their work, and second, I was in awe with how Andy helped craft the sound of those records. There's so much depth and beauty in what he does (and he also really likes the word WADUBADA). I feel very fortunate to have worked with him.
Huge thank you to Richard McKerron from Dubrek Studios for recording the album, and for being your awesome self. MATE. It was such a pleasure. I really enjoyed eating nuts and grapes with you, and discovering take out pasta.
Rich has the ability to hyperfocus and work with insanely intricate detail, and then play minecraft in between. What. a . guy. Lots of love to the Dubrek team too, and to James ❤️😊 # # #

Excited for the next part of life, after being a complete recluse for the past year. I've missed you all immensely, and I'm feeling an intense urge to balance life out again.
I ended up taking a break from the guitar to focus on the basics. Needed some TLC so I could ground myself again. Currently dog sitting, and there's dogs EVERYWHERE. Good times.
Album mixes are almost finished and I really love what Andy Sorenson has done.
Will keep you updated, we're almost there! ❤️❤️❤️

Words cannot express how amazing this past nine months has been...
It feels surreal to say that I'm almost there, and after recording with Rich, my music is now in the hands of Andy Sorenson to mix and master. I've already listened to a few mixes and videos, and I couldn't be any happier! Thanks to Richard and Andy for making my music sound better, it's sounding phenomenal. 🙏🎶
Working with Richard McKerron and the rest of the Dubrek Studios team has been the most wonderful experience. They're the loveliest, and most hard-working group of people. I couldn't recommend this studio enough, as well as the people. Big love to you all. ❤️❤️❤️ Excited to share my videos that I made with 🎥 ._ and 💡 Rob Barnaville too, who I also couldn't recommend enough!
So many emotions, so many people to thank, and so much love to you all. Thank you for everything.
Highlights of the past weekend:
⚫ Going to Polish rock band night after finishing the album, band was awesome. Ended up turning into a mini rave.
⚫ Being hosted by a space engineer / incredible artist that I found on air BnB. She made the best coffee and shared the most interesting stories. We ended up chatting for hours and hours about life, as you do with a complete stranger.

Tonewood-Amp
I learned my first fingerstyle track on this guitar (1960's Eko) when I was 14. It was also my Grandad's who sadly passed away in 2020... (RIP to my Grandad John too ❤️ It was his birthday yesterday).
This track is called "Grandad". Unfortunately he never got to hear it... It's the last track of my new album and I'll be heading to Dubrek Studios to record it in a couple of days. WOOP!
Huge thank you to my friend Vladimir Chernyshov for bringing it back to life (London based luthier 😊). There's something really special about recording his track on his guitar. ❤️

Had the best weekend at :)
Was great to support my good friend Jon Gomm at The Stoller Hall, who completely mesmerised everyone, as always!
One more set today, starting at 6:30 at the atrium stage. Then, I'm off to Dubrek Studios for a couple of days to record track no 10 of the album!

I'll be performing at "The Temple Sessions" on the 2nd July at this beautiful, intimate venue based in a woodland setting in Gloucester (GL18 1JY).
I'll be playing alongside Vladimir Chernyshov and Rob Barnaville, both phenomenal fingerstyle guitarists each with their own unique approach to the acoustic guitar.
Includes the opportunity for a pre-gig swim in Kingfisher lake. Nix Barnaville will be running a wild yoga day on the 1st - pretty sure I'll be going to this too! Accommodation available on site if needed.

I'm constantly battling the resistance to practice. It's difficult for me to sustain my mental energy, and sometimes being creative feels like too much... Temptation and frustration builds, and I feel drawn to my instrument again. Recording this album has really helped me overcome that.
I love this feeling. ❤️ It's why I always come back.

CAPO TIME.
I've used the G7th The Capo Company Newport capo for years, and I can confidently say that it's the best capo I've ever used. The worst was a hair band and a pen.
It allows me to bend strings with ease without them detuning. It's also light weight, and can be customised according to your guitar neck.
The G7th team are a bunch of legends too (Tommy not so much. But Nick and Simon are aight). Highly, highly recommend. ✨🙃

Recording this album has been one of the most liberating, yet tiresome things. I feel like I'm releasing part of myself.
"Route to Rebirth" is about finding your identity. Shedding layers created by fear and distorted perceptions, as well as recognising the impact of generational and societal patterns.
Two years ago, I discovered that I'm autistic. Suddenly my swift mood changes, obsessive nature, desire to constantly be alone, and my organised, yet chaotic feeling world started to make sense. Through deeper understanding I started to become kinder to myself, and rather than avoid it, I gradually started to channel more of my time and energy into this project.
Music is and always will be my world, and to say it saved my life, isn't an over statement.
I'm grateful for your support, and to be working alongside such amazing, talented people. ❤️
