We attended the PocketGamer.biz Connects London conference and are so happy to have been part of such a productive experience. The organizers brought together lots of different people and companies so everyone could share their expertise and network.

One of the highlights was our trip to the Meta office, where we discussed our plans for collaboration in the coming year. Visiting such large companies always inspires and motivates us to reach new heights.

There were so many attendees that we weren’t always able to see the presentations we wanted, but it didn’t matter so much compared to all the new ideas and contacts we made at the conference.

After such a busy event, we couldn't miss the opportunity to explore London. Even though the weather wasn’t great for walking around on foot, the city left an unforgettable impression.

We ended the conference feeling positive and inspired about new projects and achievements. It was great to see so many talented and ambitious people to share experiences and ideas with!

Imagine you’re on a little plane where almost half the passengers are your coworkers… Sounds fun, especially if you work at TAPCLAP!

In January, we gathered from all over the world in Georgia to celebrate the New Year! Even people who fear flying felt calm because with a friendly team like ours, there’s nothing to be afraid of. The time flew by from the very start, even though we had a whole week of work ahead of us.

Tbilisi is a historic city with beautiful architecture that spans from ancient to contemporary. Our team members loved the cozy courtyards, balconies, winding roads, and spiral bridges, all surrounded by beautiful nature and spectacular mountain views.

Despite the winter weather in Tbilisi, the fun of hanging out with coworkers and friends made up for it. Plus the office was warm and cozy, everyone had a warm welcome, comfy chairs, delicious coffee, sweets, and a stunning view from the window… What could be better? Right: work!

TAPCLAP has grown since the last time we had an offline event. Team members who had only ever seen each other on a screen were finally able to meet in person. Chatting, sharing experiences, talking about work, and group lunches and tea brought us closer together and inspired us to new heights. New ideas were born, motivation grew, and the atmosphere where everyone loves what they’re doing warmed our hearts.

Besides work, we also love to learn new things! On the weekend, we took a group trip to Kakheti. We visited the beautiful town of Sighnaghi and admired its charming winding streets. The view of the Alazani Valley from the veranda of the restaurant where the hospitable owner treated us to traditional Georgian food will forever remain in our hearts. On the way back, we visited a winery where people could buy presents to share a piece of Georgia with their loved ones back home.

And what’s a company event without a party? It’s so great to all hang out in an informal setting! A bar right by the river in the very heart of Tbilisi, dancing, boat trips, fun competitions, and all this in the warm company of colleagues. What an amazing night!

It’s always great when we can all get together. We find time to work, have fun, and relax! We started this year off right and can’t wait until our next event.

We had a great time at Google CEE App Summit Cyprus! The event was held at the City of Dreams Mediterranean Hotel in the beautiful city of Limassol.

Our favorite part was the opportunity to talk directly with Google representatives. Participants could ask questions and receive exclusive information about Google products, as well as learn about the possibilities and benefits of using AI in projects. Presentations were focused on marketing, monetization, and using resources efficiently and effectively.

The first day was pretty official, but as the evening approached, the program was more free and informal. We always get a lot of value networking with other attendees, and this summit was no different. Being able to chat with other developers from Cyprus, not only in the gaming industry, but others as well, was especially beneficial.

The second day was more practical and included two tracks: one for app developers and the other for game developers. Participants could choose what they were most interested in and dive deeper into the details.

Every conference is a new opportunity to improve! We were happy to get a first-hand look at the newest business aspects of development, and also strengthen our ties with Google. We networked with other companies and laid the foundation for future partnerships and success!

As we mentioned in our last post, we took a fun online tour of Tokyo to celebrate TAPCLAP's birthday. So you know how excited our legal advisor Evgenia was when she actually flew to the land of the rising sun a few days later for a gaming industry conference about legislation: Tokyo 2023!
We admit that we expected legal events to be held in Europe and the U.S., but it turns out there are a lot of cool events in Japan too! Here's what Zhenya shared about her trip:

“I learned so much at the conference, everything was applicable to what's going on today. It was also really helpful to network with other specialists from large game development companies and consulting agencies. I expanded my professional network and learned a lot of useful information about Asian markets and using AI-generated content.”

We're happy when our team members succeed and are so proud of them! Every new achievement and skill is another step towards our common goal, and we're happy to support our team every step of the way!

We haven't shared any news for a while. But it's not because we haven't had any! Quite the opposite!

We've been working our hardest and recently celebrated TAPCLAP's 13th birthday with the team :)

This year, we continued our online travels around the world's most beautiful cities. This time it was Tokyo! Evenings in Japan are magical, and the lights of the city seemed to shine just for us.

The tour was lots of fun. The guide told us about life in the land of the rising sun, and we asked all the questions we had about outdoor art, modern and historical buildings, and the sights of the Ginza district. Our team loves to learn!

Then we treated ourselves to some birthday cake and other goodies while we watched a special short film about… ourselves! We made the entire thing using AI.

Check it out for yourself ;)

Our team attended two events in Tbilisi recently, check it out!
The first was by AppsFlyer with a focus on marketing, analytics, and attribution in mobile apps.
The main topics spanned branding, efficiency, and user data privacy. There was also a lot of talk about using AI tools to speed up prototyping. They help generate and select options that really resonate with users. According to one of the reports, the creative production process is 3-5x faster without any loss of quality!
We learned a lot at MAMA Georgia and had a blast! Check out the photo of a traditional dance performance ;)

The second was Tbilisi GameDev Talks, where we talked about the importance of mistakes and difficulties in game development. Konstantin Mitrofanov (Product Director, Belka Games) and Ilya Maksimenko (Producer and CEO, Flyin Dogs) shared their experience in creating games and managing projects, talking about the “blood, sweat and pixels” that developers face. Not all paths lead to success, but bad experiences are experiences too! And they can and should be used.

New and old friends, networking, learning new things, and of course, games! These two events were everything we love so dearly :)

This year's WN Events Cyprus’23 conference in Limassol had more participants and interesting presentations than ever! We caught up with old friends and partners, made new contacts, and received tons of useful insights.

One of the most beneficial events before the conference was a business dinner panel discussion. Our business development manager Yuri spoke on behalf of the gaming industry about mobile app marketing and future trends. This invitation from our partners at SplitMetrics was a sign of their trust in us as experts in the gaming industry.

The conference was attended by the heads of game studios, including companies with offices in Cyprus. Representatives of IT giants like Meta, Apple and Google were also there to discuss options for developing cooperation, as well as service companies involved in promoting games, creating ads, and monetizing games and apps. It was a great opportunity to discuss new trends in marketing and monetization, and the latest news in the gaming industry.

We value every chance to meet new people and learn new things in our industry. This conference was one to remember and inspired us to reach new heights!

The end of July was an exciting time for us with the 3rd internal TAPCLAP conference!

5 days, 17 speakers, and 23 hours of insightful content!

Everyone was looking forward to the event, and our speakers started getting ready for it in May. Game development was the focus, from animation to production and everything in between.

Alongside speakers from our company, we also invited a few other industry experts, including an Olympic sailing champion! But everyone had one thing in common: they're professionals in their field.

We held the conference online so that everyone could join no matter where they live. This also made it easy to record the presentations so anyone who couldn't join could watch them later.

And who could forget about gifts! We love giving out merch :) After each presentation, the best question from the audience was awarded with some special TAPCLAP goodies.

The conference was a great time for everybody to get together, learn new things, and get inspired to reach new heights!

June 1 was a time for celebration once again in our offices!

We had all sorts of fun for the whole family, with workshops on:
• Drawing! Our kids showed off their inner artists
• Cooking! We learned how to make delicious food fast
• Self-defense! Knowing how to stay safe in different situations is important

It was all so fun, tasty, and entertaining!

And of course the party with the silver confetti pit had us all smiling and feeling great. We were so happy to see all our kids enjoying themselves. And for parents working remotely, the company gave out certificates so everyone got a special gift.

At TAPCLAP we love having fun, especially with our kids!

Ever been to a game conference and music festival at the same time? We have! :)
GDCy - Game Dev Cyprus Fest 2023 was held at St. Raphael Resort, a five-star luxury hotel on one of the largest beaches in Cyprus. The sun, the sea, and so many people in the industry excited to be there! What could be better?

The hot day didn't stop us from enjoying the presentations about business, technology and marketing. As often happens, some of it we already knew, but there was so much new and helpful to learn!

Between the presentations, we did what we love most: talk and network! There were about 1,000 people at the event. Pretty big, right?

Besides meeting new people and learning new things, there was a lot else happening too. For example, the team from ITkids, who had been making their games for 8 months, finally showed them to everyone at the event. Children are our future :) Or the T-rex costume race. Our “Pirate Treasures” art director experienced first hand how hard it is to run in one of those things on a hot day. But he came in 4th place and we're proud of him! 🦖

Don't forget that it was a music festival too. In the evening, people couldn't wait for live performances from Tony Watkins, Private Garden, Manizha and a DJ set from Kuraj Bambey. Their concerts made the evening special and the day unforgettable!

Google Play Games on PC is an app that allows you to play mobile games on Windows. It's mostly projects that were originally created for Android but never ported to other platforms. Right now the list of games isn't so long, but DesignVille is already on it! Your in-game progress is synchronized between different devices, so you can start playing on a PC and continue later on your phone or tablet.

Google Play Games is brand new and is still in testing. We can't wait to see how the platform will develop further and how our game performs. DesignVille is already available to players on Google Play Games now, and we're happy to celebrate the first installs!

We're so excited to welcome Leo to our Pirate Treasures team! Leo has already earned wide respect in our industry with his chubby little cheeks. And keeping with tradition, we asked him to answer our new employee survey :)

Q: Why did you choose CATCLAP?
A: One time I accidentally got on camera during a conference call. I fell asleep, and when I woke up well rested, everyone was praising me! It was awesome!

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: I like to eat a big bowl of food after work. I also like to climb on shelves and sleep there, but not everyone is so happy about it. I also like clawing my scratching post. It's a big one! Running to the open refrigerator door is fun too, plus sleeping on my back and lying in the doorway.

Q: What are your best personal and professional achievements?
A: Tired? There is a nap for that, and I happen to be an expert in it. My biggest achievement is my chubby cheeks. People love petting them and feeding me treats. I can also eat two cans of food at once. Then another a few minutes later, and another one, because I can make my cute eyes huge and stare like I haven't been fed for a month. Another achievement of mine is that I'm super chill and pawsitive.

Welcome to the team, Leo! Good luck in all your future endeavors!

TAPCLAP was the general sponsor of WN Connect Tbilisi'23!
Last year, we opened an office in Georgia and loaded it up with equipment, comfy chairs, a coffee machine and cookies :) At one point we even upgraded to a larger space so everyone could work more comfortably!

We've had lots of time to get to know the local game dev community, or rather, watch it just getting started :) So we decided to take matters into our own hands and organize the first networking event in Tbilisi together with WN Events! We wanted to meet all the local talent who love games and are passionate about their creations. And we did: more than 250 people registered for the event!

WN Connect Tbilisi'23 was held in the fabrika art space, a former textile factory converted into a hotel with small showrooms. It was the perfect lofty atmosphere for a productive evening.

The event was divided into two stages: round tables and networking. The topic of our round table was something on everyone's mind: “Neural networks in a modern gaming company: an artist's point of view.” We focused on the use of neural networks in everyday tasks that artists, designers, animators, and even game designers handle. The feedback and discussions from other industry specialists was balanced and rewarding. Some cases surprised us, like using ChatGPT to write game designer's documents. Everyone agreed that neural networks are a convenient, albeit difficult to configure, tool that can greatly help day-to-day operations in the future. The conversation was energetic, and all the participants had a chance to share what they thought!

For us, hanging out with so many like-minded professionals made the event unforgettable! Now we know so many more people in our industry here in Georgia. We were so happy to see that this country is full of talented young game creators. And also proud to be a part of the first ever event like this in the city!

WN Events Belgrade'23 took place in early February, hosting industry giants like Meta, Ubisoft, Supercell, Unity, and many more… Including TAPCLAP!
We were happy to see that the local gamedev community keeps growing. There were over 600 attendees at the conference! All kinds of different people gathered together with one common passion: making games :)
Our schedule was packed! Both days of the event were filled with exciting discussions, top-class speakers, a huge exhibition area, and great networking. The atmosphere was perfect as always, and had everyone speaking up about topics ranging from global trends and leadership, to the use of AI in game development and investment.
We love games and love talking about them, so we're always happy to hang out at game development events, support old connections, and make new contacts.

A month has passed, but the winter holidays are still in our hearts! Now we're excited to share how we celebrated :)

We already have an extensive geography and continue to expand, which is a major reason why we can't get everyone together in one office. But even though we celebrated the New Year online, it didn't stop us from getting in the holiday spirit!

First, the teams shared their accomplishments in 2022. It was a moment of joy and pride, where everyone could feel the significance of their contribution to our common goals. It's nice to see how different teams, projects, and the whole company work together to make things happen!

Then we had some fun with a quiz game and unwrapping gifts. This year, the corporate gift exceeded everyone's expectations!

Can you imagine our logo like a heavy metal band? Well, now we can! Everyone on the team got a bright, stylish, and roomy backpack with a special heavy metal TAPCLAP logo! It's perfect for everyday life and travel and even has a laptop compartment.

We had such a great time, now we'll be in a good mood until next year's holidays!

Another post, another visited event!
The GDCy - Game Dev Cyprus Xmas Carnival Powered by Google was awesome! The photos say it all: the perfect mix of business and pleasure. In fact, it was so fun we can’t even believe that anyone could focus on anything serious. But the presentations were as informative as they were numerous.
Topics included trends in the mobile gaming industry we can expect in 2023. Experts discussed key ways to monetize apps using Admob, promotion strategies in Google Ads, how to make the best of your app using Firebase, and much more.
Companies always have an eye towards the future, so listening to what we can expect was both interesting and important. We're dedicated to supporting a dialogue with our colleagues in other companies to keep up with the times and maintain our games at a high level.

We attended the first official TikTok For Business summit in Cyprus and can’t wait to share our thoughts!

We found everything we needed for user acquisition: top experts, ground-breaking tools, and mind-blowing creatives. Our meeting covered a lot of interesting topics:
• How to motivate people to want, install, play, and wait for updates
• Expectations and plans for 2023, new tools and marketing strategies
• TikTok's creative content and how we can use it for our games
• Cases from related industries
We also had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers directly from the TikTok team.
Nobody can predict what creative will get popular, which is why it's so important to experiment, follow trends, and talk to your audience in their language.
We’re growing, learning new things, enjoying our development, and working more efficiently to make our players' experience even more fun!

2 days, more than 1,000 participants, tons of networking, and all kinds of useful information. Plus all the colorful stands, fun presentations, and round tables were the cherry on top to make WN Events Tel Aviv'22 a real party! :)

We really enjoyed this event and got a lot out of everything we learned and talked about with colleagues from all over the world.

Our evening meeting with ironSource x Unity for Games was particularly special. It was so nice to end the event with our partners offering to meet in their office to talk more after the conference. Talking in person always adds so much to a conversation, and getting answers to questions in an informal setting is even more valuable. So we got everything we could hope for!

TAPCLAP is 12 years old!
And here we are again gathering around our monitors to celebrate our big day online. We won't let a little distance stop us from having fun :)
Last year we went on an online tour of New York, and this year we explored Tbilisi! We strolled through the streets while our guide shared interesting stories, rode a cable car across the Kura River, and saw all the sights of the city. By the end of the walk, we could already smell the enticing aroma of khinkali and wine that Georgia is so well known for.
All the congratulations, cake, and gifts brought us even closer together as a team. And the warm smiles and laughter we shared will warm our hearts for a long time to come ❤️

We've been loving Halloween in our offices for the last couple weeks.
Jack-o'-lantern helps make sure every cup of coffee is delicious, and the bat likes to tell us when to take a little break and stretch. The spiders show the way around, and our ghost friends even like to hang around to brainstorm!
As always, there are tasty treats for when you need a break, and fun costumes to really get in the spirit!
We're always ready to have fun and celebrate. Could it really be any other way when you make games? :)

WN Events Cyprus'22 was another event we’ve recently participated in.
The venue was impressive, and we got a lot out of all the great presentations, lectures, and networking. There were so many companies and services to talk and share experience with. And who can forget the WN party! As usual, it had everything you need to have a good time and be productive too.
It's always nice to meet interesting people who are passionate about game development, listen to talks about the best tools to promote games, and take part in discussions.
And that's not all! This time we were sponsors of meeting points where guests could get together and talk. We made ours extra special with cute characters from DesignVille! Take a look and maybe you'd want to stop by and stay a while too ;)

Couple weeks ago we attended GDCy - Game Dev Cyprus x Meta!

GDCy is a series of monthly events for game development companies based in Cyprus.

This month, the main partner of the event was Meta. They held a closed session focusing on monetization, development strategies and attracting new audiences. We learned a lot about how to do everything we can to make our games succeed.

One of the most valuable parts for us was getting to talk to the Meta team directly. We got the chance to ask about everything we wanted and got answers right away. Plus the fresh air, Mediterranean coast, networking and informal atmosphere made this event one of our favorites.

On June 1, we invited our whole team to bring in their kids for a fun-filled day together at the office!

The main event was a special culinary workshop on how to make gingerbread cookies and other treats. The kids decorated their masterpieces with cream, nuts and other toppings.

Everyone worked up a big appetite, and while the gingerbread cookies set and it was too early to eat them, we all dug into a delicious cake. It was so good that not a single piece was left in the end!

And the fun didn't stop there. A magician (with a hat, magic wand and everything!) also put on a performance for both children and parents. He even taught the kids how to do a few tricks on their own.

We didn’t forget about the kids of our remote employees either. They all got gift certificates to spend on whatever they want with the help of their parents.

The day was a hit. The kids loved it, parents were smiling, and there hasn't been so much fun and running around the office since last year's June 1st celebration.

Here's to another awesome TAPCLAP tradition!

The dancing twin towers in our news are no coincidence!

Axis Towers is a business center in one of Tbilisi's best neighborhoods, and the home to our brand new third office!

Even though Axis Towers only opened recently, it's got everything we need nearby to make work easy. The towers are right near a public transit stop, so they're easy to reach. And lunch isn't a problem either: there's a big cafeteria on the first floor of the black tower with excellent food. And if you want to take a walk, there's a park nearby too.

TAPCLAP's office is on the sunny 8th floor of the black tower. It's comfy and modern, and the windows offer a beautiful view of the business center and mountains.

We're still working on installing equipment, but our team members with their own laptops are already enjoying the new space. Fast internet helps download and upload big files, which is crucial for artists. The tables and chairs are also almost no different from what we've got in the Chelyabinsk office and just as comfortable. Plus, the office has central air conditioning, so it stays cool even on hot days.

TAPCLAP couldn't be happier to call Georgia home!

We create exciting mobile games. Play and have fun!

Founded in 2010, TAPCLAP is one of the top developers of mobile and social games in Russia and the CIS.

Games like "Candy Valley" and "Pirate Treasures" have won over tens of millions of users around the world.
