Monday night was the high school KAY banquet. What a wonderful time to recognize our members for their service, our seniors, and Mrs. Cahoone for her 19 years of service as KAY sponsor! She was gifted with items for her garden. PLEASE HONOR Sam Cahoone AND COMMENT WITH A MEMORY YOU HAVE OF HER OR YOUR TIME IN KAY!

What a busy week for our KAY members! This week was Citizenship Week and our students were busy helping out in our school, community, country and world!
We made and distributed cookie plates to local businesses and health services.
Junior High gave staff a coupon for a chore to be completed and High School made a delicious breakfast for the staff.
Students paid a dollar for Hat Day and proceeds will be used to buy animals for a family in a developing world country.
We collected gently used shoes for Soles for Souls, which will be donated to persons in need.
We collected over 1500 pounds of food for our local food pantry!

It's a great day to be a KAY! I'm so proud of these kids! The money is still coming in but they crushed our goal of $1500 for our Walk-a-Thon and so far we have raised $1740.38 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! We had a good number of per lap donations, which I think will put us over $2000! All together, we walked 416 laps, totaling 104 miles!
