Trueglide Small Batch Baits

It’s been 20 years since I first released the Tremor , back then it was called the “Tantrum”. It’s still one of my most productive baits and a perennial slump buster❤️

reminding everyone that the TrueGlide Blacklist crankbaits kick ass ;).

A few swimbaits I’ve been working on. The tests have been positive so far. This bass went over 21” and numerous others over 20”.I’ve even caught muskies on them so far🤘🏻

A few lure builds from earlier this year.

As TrueGlide celebrates our 20th anniversary, I’ve been going through the archives of lure styles that I’ve discontinued over the years. This bait never had a name , but I made them from 2004-2006. I made them in jointed as well. Eventually I just kind of stopped making them, they were too similar to another manufacturer’s bait. This one is built on my original template with the skinny Hustler body. Super fun project to do! Let me know if you think I should do a limited edition batch 👍🏻

Opening day success👍🏻 We went 1 for 3 losing a 50” fish on a Blacklist Crank and another smaller fish on the Stalefish paddletail. Even caught an 8 pound walleye on a Guppie.

Messing around with some bluegill options tonight. This one still needs a little clean up and topcoat, but I like it so far. When I try new patterns I usually just load my brushes with colors I think will work. Then I’ll add more pigments to change the tones or depth or dump out colors that didn’t work. I call these my “Spray and Pray” sessions. Luckily, they usually work out .

Going through some of my old photos and artifacts from The Turf Skate Park in anticipation of the grand re opening this fall. If you’re a skater and do not know about the history of the Turf, you should definitely google it. It will be the first skatepark in history to be dug up (it was buried) and completely rebuilt to original specs. So stoked to have been a part of the park history ( I worked and skated there through the late 80’s/early 90’s). Here’s a cool shot I found of me doing a F/S disaster, circa ‘89 (I believe) .
