We need trees all down Highway 41 and Highway 49. Especially with climate change affecting us more and more every day.
Can you help me get this important info out to school trustees and admins. I know Fresno could use some cooling off as well as Eastern Madera County. A while back someone in our group said the schools on school road don't have many/any trees to give young children shade.

We do need to get back to work after COVID. I am older now & dealing with issues. If someone wants to take over this group as leader I would be opening to helping, supporting and mentoring as much as I can. Let me know if you are interested.
Wouldn't this be nice? Great way to beautify an area.
Imagine planting fruit trees and vegetable plants on every sidewalk that feed everyone and end hunger for the homeless. 🍎 🍐🍏🍇🍅🥕
Sounds like a great project. We should see what we can do for Highway 41 & Highway 49 in Oakhurst. Any body want to offer to check out the Cal Trans program?
How about a nice oak tree lined Highway 41 and 49?

Looks like something we should look into. Any one want to start researching? After our next election is over lets start getting together to see what we can do to beautify Oakhurst.

Remember one of our members mentioned how one of the schools on 427 really needed shade for the children. Looks like LA is going to do something about that. Hope Oakhurst will too. With climate change it will be more and more important for our children.

I still want trees down Highway 41 & 49 in Oakhurst. Need to get back to work on that.
Ask for trees in your city 🌲
It has been a long time since I have talked with you. When we missed the Cal Trans grant deadline, due to no fault of ours, I lost hope. Before I could get it back I badly broke my leg on February 23, 2020. Before I could get back up and around COVID came into our lives. We have greatly grown since then the number of members on this page. The word did get around. Now something else sinister is happening. It may cause some of you to leave or may cause me sorrow.
If you haven't noticed Mark Reed just mentioned five local woman in a mailed flyer. He inferred we were witches, gay, Democrats and
Socialists. We five are feeling unsafe in our own community now. But we will not back down.
I was thinking of starting to get Oakhurst Beautification active again since COVID is getting better. I just wonder if I and others would be safe if we held a public meeting. Hopefully some of this will blow over after the election and we can start up the group again to bring about positive change for our community. If you have any questions of concerns please send me a FB message under my name instead of here so I am sure I get it. Sorry for having to do this but I wanted to clear things up if there are concerns about me and the other women.
Same is true of Eastern Madera County in the Oakhurst, Coarsegold, North Fork areas. Have long said that we are the ugly step-children of Madera County who are forgotten & ignored.
Depaving Cities for a Greener Future Minimum Viable Planet is a weeklyish newsletter about climateish stuff, and how to keep it together in a world gone mad. This week, Montreal’s depaving efforts make this Toronto-dweller green with envy (and inspiration).
Nice time to help a neighbor if nothing going on by you.

Many of my ideas about Oakhurst Beautification come from my good friend Mayor Rey Leon. He is so awesome. Oakhurst needs to work to get a mayor like him.
