Three DOT regulations that are no longer required:

National Road Check Starts Today! (May 17-19) 35,000 Federal and State DOT inspectors working the roads and weigh stations! This year's focus will be "Wheel End Inspections" on trucks and buses. Inspecting rims (Warps, cracks, elongated lug nut holes, etc), loose lug nuts, broken fasteners and bolts, loose bearing cups in the hubs, etc. Wheel End violations have historically been listed in the top 10 violations cited during Road Check and accounts for 25% of the vehicle that are placed "Out-of-Service".
