Luke 1:5-7 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

Notice in verse 6 the Bible says that they were both righteous yet in verse 7 the Bible says they had no children because Elisabeth was barren. This would have been seen by them and many others as a punishment by God. Yet God sees them as righteous. Sometimes the trials and hardships in our life are not because we are doing wrong but because God is growing and molding us preparing us for a time when we can be blessed. The vessel of clay must first be formed and fired before it can be used.

Had a great first Wednesday night meeting! We looked at The Bible as Our Sole Authority. Join us next Wednesday at 7 as we look at The Autonomy of the Local Church.

Praise the Lord! We had our first in home Bible study on Sunday night and had 14 people! If you missed it please join us this Wednesday 12/7/22 at 7 pm for the next one.
