Mid-hike yoga. We finally made it to the lookout point and celebrated with some yoga and smiles before getting lost on our way back (of course). What an awesome adults only vacation weekend we had.
What’s better than getting outside after being cooped up for too long? Having the kid who acts too cool for everything suddenly and surprisingly want to show off his tree pose! What a great session of some #interruptedyoga

Be bold enough to practice outside (even without a mat or yoga pants). Be brave enough to not care who sees. Be determined enough to practice everyday.
Sometimes you fall. Sometimes you stick it. Finding balance means accepting the falls and the set backs with smiles, knowing that they help. Remember, it’s a practice not a performance.
Time to move and make it through the day. My hamstrings and kids may say ‘no’ but I say ‘yes’. Practice must happen. I say ‘yes’, do you?
Some slow real time seated stretches, as requested. Deep breaths, good music, and a little alone time after teaching a class. Oh, how grateful I am to be a teacher and student of yoga. It always makes life feel good.
I’m doing my best. It may not look perfect. I may not feel like a pro. But I try. I practice. Isn’t that all any of us can do?
This is apparently yoga for sore achy legs that attempted a run yesterday, yoga for people who want to just sit and stretch, and yoga for people with toddlers who fake injuries to get attention. That’s just where I was at today. You feel me? Have you practiced yet today?
When you fall over or feel like you can’t stand up (or just want to wear all black), remember that there are always options. You always have choices. You are always in control. And when all else fails—- child’s pose is there for you. Have you practiced yet today?
Deck yoga’s a thing, right? Most important things for a quick afternoon standing yoga break- side stretches, twists, forward folds, balancing poses, getting up after falling, try try again, keep going. Have you practiced yet today?
Beginner friendly ways to raise your heart rate and energy level (besides having that third cup of coffee)- mixing in warrior poses, triangle, and chair pose into sun salutations. Another way to gain some energy- try to go as fast as this time lapsed video. Just kidding.
