One of cerillo's product development engineers, Daniel, volunteers with Project Owlnet. The project began in 1994 to learn more about the life cycle and population dynamics of Northern Saw-whet Owls and their migration patterns. This type of data is valuable for land conservation efforts, and to understand the impact of external factors like climate change.

Daniel supports the project by capturing and handling owls, placing bands, and measuring characteristics of the birds. He also teaches owl biology and ecology to research station visitors.

We were in Boston for ICME earlier this month, and the talks were incredible. It was great to hear about the amazing microbiome engineering research currently going on in the field.

During the conference, our Director of Customer Success, Jess, presented a case study for improved bacterial interaction studies. We'll have more to share on the topic soon (hint: a new product release), so stay tuned!

Kevin is cerillo's CTO, and in his free time he serves as a BRMRG Group Training Officer. He's also been involved in a number of search and rescue efforts.
