Got doc's permission to workout. I just started my workout today after a long pause. Did 20 mins of moderate stretches, yoga and simple crunches. I didn't want to push myself post c-section.
How was it after a long time? To be honest- awful! Not due to the physical stress, but due to the emotional stress of literally feeling like my hard work of years went down the drain in just a matter of months. But kept my cool and went on with the workout, in no time I started feeling a bit like what I felt a year ago. I know this is going to be a long span transformation because I am going to start at home and manage my time between the little one, work and my health. Its TIME to introduce my past to the future π€πΌπͺπΌ

It's easy to say eat healthy and avoid junk food when your hormones have hijacked your cognitive skills for those 9 months! But there is a way! I figured that when you form a routine it helps to mitigate the consumption of junk food and those empty calories. Pick one meal of the day and make it an extremely healthy one, that checks off all the required nutrients and macros in pregnancy. For me that's breakfast and often lunch too. 2 eggs, 3 small multi grain toast , a heaping glass of milk and two sizable portions of fruits (preferably ones that are high in fibers)... what's your meal of the day?

Not every day of pregnancy is easy, I speak for my partner too, but every day brings us closer to our unborn. This post is dedicated to my partner who has been there like a rock throughout the journey. It's insanely challenging for me but I am also showered with so much support, love and affection from both our families. As soon as I announced my pregnancy, the focus shifted on me. I know once the baby arrives, he will be the center of attention. But this man has prepared himself to go unnoticed. He is equally involved and drained throughout the process but showed no remorse. He has been so understanding and loving that I know deep down he is going to be an amazing father already πto him and all soon to be or new dads out there, your involvement is equally important in a child's upbringing ππΌπ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦

Mediterranean Black bean, apple and quinoa salad with my lemon garlic dressing. It's a hearty, fresh, and nutritious meal packed with lots of rich flavors!
Benefits of planks:1. Tones belly 2. Reduces back pain 3. Improves back and core flexibility. I started with 10 sec of holding these postures. With regular practice and proper monitoring I am now able to hold for 60 seconds. Remember it's a marathon, not a race. Modify these poses by resting on your knees if it hurts. You want to sustain your body shape for the long haul so don't rush yourself. Listen to your body!

Couscous is a whole grain that contains great source of dietary protein and vitamin B. The mint adds fresh aroma and apples add natural sweetness.
