Topic: A LIFE OF GRATITUDE

MEMORIZE
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

SCRIPTURAL TEXT
Romans 8:28

INSPIRATION
Psalms 100:4 (KJV) Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
The above passage says that when you're coming to God, you're to come with Thanksgiving not with grumbling and complaining, but with Thanksgiving. This means that if you don't come with Thanksgiving, then He can decide not to open His gates for you. Many people's prayers do not get answered because all they do is complain and murmur to God. You're complaining that you have no car when someone has a car but cannot rise from his sick bed. You're complaining that you have no shoes when someone else has no legs. Just give thanks. No matter what you're going through, there are millions of people around the world going through worse situations. Make a habit of always thanking God for what you have.

ACTION POINT
Spend at least thirty minutes thanking God today. Don't ask for anything, just thank Him.
1. For the ability to clothes yourself by yourself.
2. Ability to feed and to go to toilet.
3. For the ability to reason and think straight.
4. For the ability to use your hands, your legs, your eyes and so on and so forth

God is going to make sure that man can't get any credit for what He is about to do in your life.

PRAYER POINT

Father, thank you for bringing me into another year. Please let the power in your word bring your promises to pass in my life and family, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Topic: YOUR BODY A LIVING SACRIFICE

MEMORIZE
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

SCRIPTURAL TEXT
1 Corinthians 6:15-18 (KJV) Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

17. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

INSPIRATION
Although God may call some of His children to make the ultimate sacrifice as martyrs, most of us He calls to a life of service and self-denial. We are to be a "living sacrifice," offered to God fully but to live for Him rather than die. And this, Paul tells us, is but our "reasonable service," not some above and beyond call to "extra" service.

PRAYER
Help me, O Lord, to live every day, hour, and moment fully for You, not simply pursuing my own selfish desires. May I not count it unreasonable to serve You with all of my life. May I not grumble and complain over things sacrificed for the sake of Your Kingdom, but surrender all things joyfully that You may require.in the name of Jesus Christ!

Topic: TEMPTATION YOU CAN'T BEAR CANNOT COME TO YOU!

MEMORIZE
1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

SCRIPTURAL TEXT
1 Corinthians 10:9-12 (KJV) Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

11, Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

INSPIRATION
Though God sends trials and allows temptations to enter our lives, He is ever near and ready to help. He is faithful to help us through everything we face. He will provide a way to escape temptations and a way to endure hardships if we will but take it.

PRAYER
May I not make excuses or try to blame You for my failings or resent trials or discipline You send into my life. Help me to see each test as an opportunity to choose You and to die the more to self. Trusting in Your Spirit working in me to will and do of Your good pleasure, may I find the strength, will, and wisdom to reject sin and choose God. In the mighty name of Jesus Chris, I pray!

Topic: THE GENERATION OF VIPERS!

MEMORIZE
Matthew 12:34 (KJV) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

SCRIPTURAL TEXT
Proverbs 30:11-14 (KJV):
11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

INSPIRATION
These verses describe a generation so wicked that they curse their own parents; and so prideful that they do not see their own wickedness.

Verses 11-14 - Verse 1 describes Agur's words as prophecy. I believe it may not only have spoken of an evil generation in Agur's time, but also point to the generation that will exist before the second coming of the Lord Jesus. The Apostle Paul also describes this generation in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

Agur's words describe a generation that curses their parents; Paul states that in the last days people will be disobedient to their parents. Agur describes a generation that is prideful and sinless in their own eyes; Paul speaks of a people being haughty and having only a form of godliness. Agur speaks about a generation that takes advantage of the poor, ...
