Devastation in Hawaii
All photos from Maui.
Maui is the epicentre of the watersports world- birthplace of wave sailing, foil surfing and wingfoiling. Iāve been fortunate to frequent the island annually for over twenty years, and be welcomed to ride waves at Hoāokipa with my IN2 guests.
The tow in crew at Jaws allowed us to host the first ever ātourist tripā there with my guests riding monster waves (on jetskis) and plenty of extraordinary other events and mischief around the island, including Lahaina, which always welcomed us with such aloha.
I first tried foil surfing at Guard Rails in Lahaina
Friends are in such pain and confusion dealing with the fire that utterly wiped out this beautiful town.
Watermen we know have been collecting dead bodies from the ocean in horrorās unimaginable.
Windsurfers, foilers and surfers have lost their businesses, homes and loved ones. Everyone on the island is effected.
Right now is not the time to visit Maui as all accommodation and transport needs to be prioritised to the misplaced locals. Hopefully by April next year we can return as INtuition.
INtuition guests and I have been so welcomed to Maui and enjoyed so many visits there, our watersports world came from Maui, itās time to give back. Iām currently working out exactly how best to contribute. I have a list of friends personally helping on the island, a list of very worthy active charities, and some friendly businesses I personally feel we should help get back up and running in the water for the local community spirit.
Please kindly support our friends there, on the island that brought us all our watersports passions. I will be directing funds to Maui soon. Do I need to do some crazy foiling endeavour to justify your contribution? I would happily do so. But truly, Maui has given us all our beloved watersports and so many of my guests amazing experiences, and the displaced residents do not need an excuse to help them get their lives back on track.
As foilers, surfers and windsurfers, Maui needs us right now, just like weāve needed Maui for decades. ā¤ļøšš .steve

Why race? Why compete? Because I love being challenged. I love being pushed to my extreme limits. I love adventure. Racing measures your skill set so you can improve it. I donāt mind being a kook, I donāt mind losing, but I canāt stand staying still. Progress, movement, self improvement. Set your heart racing!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøšŖš«µšš© .foilwing photos from the UK Windsurfing Association National Champs at Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy July 15/16 2023 by and ššš
If you donāt know what your week ahead is going to turn out like, then youāre on an adventure. Just like this wave which grew a massive second peak I had to make the decision to quickly bail out from! š photo by
How life looks when the weekend hasnāt stopped for over fifty years šš© and youāre constantly adventuring.
āThanks for tuning into my Greek adventures so far. Iāve been loving the 85 metre Oāptasia but it was always the intention to set up a hydrofoil club on a private 19 metre catamaran, which Iāām onboard today. Iām still working with my fantastic guests who are all rapidly developing their hydrofoil skills. Two more weeks of this and a boatload more foil addicts!ā

These days we can even ride open ocean swell, and in Maui itās all the rage. Featuring the new KT Ginxu with cruising Mauiās Northshore, May 2022.
āIāD RATHER BE WINDSURFING
Hi! Iāve spent my life loving watersports. Iām Serge Koval from Ukraine. Iāve windsurfed all over the world, with many of the people reading this, at some of the best venues. I windsurfed 500 kilometres with Guy on his Brazil W.IN.D Marathon and in huge waves in Morocco. Yes, Ukrainians are tough ones! :)) And I know many of you personally from Brazil, Morocco, Egypt, Greece, California, Canariesā¦ā¦ But now instead of sea urchins, I see anti-tank hedgehogsā¦.. Ukraine is trying hard to hold Putinās army so it doesnāt destroy us first and then whole Europe and beyond. Weāre really trying hard. But day by day - war eats our financial, physical and mental resources. So like we watched each otherās backs in huge waves of Morocco, like we were one team in Brazil during 500km crazy marathon, like we all share the same stoke, Iām asking you to watch my back now while weāre fighting this bloody monster Putin and his gang. I strongly believe in our victory and Iāll never give up. But manā¦. IāD RATHER BE WINDSURFINGā¦.. ā Words by our amazing friend Serghei, who like millions of other innocents in Ukraine are now fighting for their families and their lives.
