The Lafayette Square Cyclone Base Ball Club accepted at today’s scheduling meeting the 2022 Gentlemen’s Cup, as voted by the leadership of the clubs in our region. This is the second win by the Cyclone BBC, which also won the award in 2016. Thanks to all who voted for us. It means a lot to us and the way we try to play the game.
Thanks to all who made this weekend’s Sheppard Barclay Festival a great time. We had good crowds and excellent base ball all weekend. Special thanks to the St. Louis Brown Stockings, Murphysboro Clarkes, Indianapolis Blues, Belleville Stags, Vermillion Voles, and the Summit Station Signalmen. The Perfectos/Explorers and Cyclone BBC enjoyed having you and look forward to seeing you again. Huzzah!

We join the vintage base ball community in mourning the passing of our friend and teammate, Jon "Charlie Brown" Farris.
Last night we said goodbye to a stalwart of our game. Our hearts are heavy from this loss. Huzzah to Jonathan “Charlie Brown” Farris.
The St. Louis Perfectos and Lafayette Square Cyclone BBC enjoyed a weekend of baseball July 31 at the St. Louis Cup in Forest Park and August 1 at our home field in Lafayette Park hosting the Ohio Village Muffins. Congratulations to Tony and Tracy Wicker at the Brown Stockings for a great cup, and thanks to the Muffins for a great match today and the opportunity to visit.
Thanks to all who came out to play and spectate at the 2021 Sheppard Barclay Festival in scenic Lafayette Park. Everyone agreed it was nice to be back out there playing and watching the game we love.
We don’t know yet when we’ll take the field this season but we do know that Lafayette Park Vintage Base Ball Field has never been in better shape!
We hope that you are all healthy and safe. We look forward to the day we can safely return to the field and present the vintage game again. We'll announce any updates here. Until then, take care and be safe.
