Rolling 'O' Farm

Welcome to the Rollin O Farm! This all started whenever we wanted to get out of the city and find some land so our kids can run and play and have fun.

Our daughter loves horses, and we decided if we kept waiting for the perfect time, she would be out of the house before we ever had land. We decided to just pull the plug and move! We now have a dream of animals, fun, people, plants, food, everything! Come tell us what you think, and help us live life to the fullest out on The Farm!

I added studs to existing tack room in the barn at the new place. I have over half of it insulated. Next steps are to finish insulation, then put up interior walls. Woohoo! The wall with the double studs are going to hold saddle racks.

Reminder : Cold season is starting and cows seek heat on car hoods, do not forget to tap on the hood to give the cow enough time to get off before you drive away!

I have been watching this awesome 10 Oz celebrity tomato ripen over the past few days. Then I look at it today and see the rotten green tomato next to it has caused this orange one to rot :(

The big potato harvest went down tonight. These were grown in mostly composted horse manure and wood chips. I planted about 5 lbs of taters and I would guess I have 40 or 50 lbs. I will weigh them tomorrow if I think about it.

Oh man. I brush hogged most of the day today. I am tired, but it sure looks nice! There was one section that was just too much for my little tractor. I guess I will spray it and then try again after it all dies. I also moved a bunch ch of dirt to try and fill some low areas, but they were way too wet. I will have to wait until they dry out.
