THE LANGUAGE OF ART & WINE
Our house has long been devoted to art – painting, photography, sculpture. We’ve been privileged over the years to make visual expression a family business. With Art House wines, we expand that experience to our other favored endeavor – making great wine.
Art and words will never offer the same experience. People put words on art seeking a more familiar hook – language – as a way in to understanding what is really a non-verbal experience. Great art resonates at a deeper level. And when it touches you – you know it.
So it is with wine. We may experience it differently, and we may describe it differently, but when it’s great – it’s a deep and memorable experience.
We are fortunate to have landed in the Carneros - that weird and wonderful region at the south end of Napa and Sonoma, known for its cool air, bending winds, and the slow and steady cycle of sun, moon and fog. This is real Pinot Noir country.
