Pushing through the debilitating anxiety that comes along with the stigma of having Tourrette’s & OCD
I know what it feels like to be afraid to leave the house because your brain works differently than others and you’re afraid of being ostracized. I push through everyday to do what might seem “easy” to those who aren’t neurodivergent.
I am a black women living with Tourrette’s and other co-occurring disorders (OCD, PTSD and anxiety). I also live with chronic physical pain/inflammation. I made this page for myself and others like me because I don’t and still don’t very often see ppl that look like me that are living and thriving with the disorders that I have and I wish I had an example. I just want to show others to know that they are not alone and that we are worthy of a good life!
Squirrel and one of the female squirrels out enjoying their food! 🐿️ 🌰
Discovering that I’ve been with changed my life in so many positive ways. One of the ways is that the physical therapy started me on my journey to mobility training journey. I love it 💪😁

One of the best ways for me to break a sweat at home. I have a love-dislike relationship with this thing.
Another fresh hair cut!
I use to be avoident of going to barbershop/hair salon because I was afraid of my tics being made fun of. I realized that my tics may or may not ever go away and truth be told ppl may or may not judge me but I still gotta do me and be me because I deserve all the goodness that your heart desires! I sometimes still get high anxiety when I go which can flare up my tics but it is what it is. I still get to walk out knowing I did something nice for myself and I can now enjoy the benefits of it (biggest benefit is that it’s low maintenance for me).
For years I thought I wasn’t a reader until I found books that spoke my language and aligned with my interests.
If Foxxy dont do nothing else she gone eat! 🐿️
About a week late but I never post my cuts. Having a short cut has always been an interest of mine and I’ve been loving it! 😈
