Getting the tent out and washed up for this weekend's Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair this weekend on the riverfront. Come on down and see all the art, kids activities and community mural. I'll have a lot of new work given my explorations in paint this year. Booth 14 in front of bandstand.

Giving Cobra and Daniel Smiths water mix able oils a try at Peninsula State Park in Door County WI. Kind of appropriate to the weather.

Just got these plant based "Acrylik" paints from Natural Earth Paints and I'm so stoked to try them and say Goodbye to traditional petrochemical acrylic paints. Might I still use the old paints I already have so as not to waste? My rule now is yes, as long as I use the crash kit from Golden that separates the plastic solids from the water. It's tough to care so much about the environment, but what choice do I have? I just deeply care and I still need to make art. There is a happy medium I'm sure. I hope these Paints do it for me:) I'll let you know. Great company too, I use their Ecosolve for oil painting and now no headaches.
