The Ketosis breathalyzer went live today. We went ahead and purchased one to test. They should be shipping in January.
We will be testing as soon as it arrives. Looking forward to no more finger pricks and sticks.
So. We received our 3rd shipment from and had even more open packages of meat when it arrived.
We decided to put our account on hold for now. 😞☹️

Some of you who use Keto strips know the mess that can be made when trying to figure out if you are in ketosis or not. Aside from peeing on a strip. Sometimes you can't tell by the color indicator.
Also as your body becomes more efficient at using Ketones as energy it may stop showing on the strips.
We decided to be guinea pigs and test out a digital glucose and ketone monitor, to see how well it tracks ketones.

Soooo.... What Did I Learn on Vacation?
I decided to take a break from Keto during vacation.
My break meaning I consumed probably 100-200 grams of carbs daily as opposed to my normal 20 grams.
DON’T DO IT!!!!
I gained 10lbs and feel like total crap!
I guess the good thing is that I know that I won’t be going back to that old lifestyle.

So what is MCT oil?
MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglyceride. These are fatty acids derived from coconut and palm oil. These fats are the most easily converted to ketones because they bypass the liver and go straight to the brain for sustained focus and energy.
So they are immediate brain energy and supply ketones to convert into active energy as well.
