13 years between photos.

What started in a small second bedroom in Capitol Hill has grown slowly into the Moody Graham pod of 2022.

We are very proud of our new office on H St. and thankful for all of the clients, collaborators, past pod members, and hard work that have gotten us this far. We are just starting. We will continue to learn from our mistakes, aim higher with each project, and do our damnedest to deliver exceptional spaces of healing. Stay tuned for an upcoming open house/gallery opening in October.

Big thanks to our friends
for the collaboration on the office and
for the photos. More images coming next week...

Beautiful day at the SW Community Garden in Lansburgh Park in Washington DC. designed this park back in 2013 in collaboration with Project Orange Thumb and

The community garden has 37 plots, including accessible beds and community beds that are used to feed volunteers and the neighborhood. Persimmon, pawpaw, fig, and other fruit trees surround the central area of raised cedar beds. The garden has been a great success since it's opening nearly 10 years ago and looks better every season.

Members of the Pod are participating in this year's "Trash Dash", a Team River Cleanup Contest where groups compete to see who can clean up the most litter along the Anacostia River. Hosted by the Neighborhood Design Center, the "Trash Dash" is a way to bring the community together to steward our public spaces. If you would like to donate on behalf of Moody Graham, please visit the link in bio.

What is your favorite wood for a deck?

It is a complex equation when accounting for sustainability, durability, lifespan, color, cost, feel, maintenance, and availability. We are interested where other professionals are landing...

Check out Moody Graham Senior Associate Mila Antova's work with Green Schoolyards America, highlighting the social and emotional benefits of outdoor learning for children: https://www.greenschoolyards.org/nature-benefits-social-emotional. This research is being used to help schools reopen safely during COVID-19 by using outdoor spaces such as schoolyards and nearby parks.

(Pictured: Mila's son Val releasing ladybugs in their home garden -- outdoor learning can happen anywhere!)

Green Schoolyards America "seeks to transform asphalt-covered school grounds into park-like green spaces that improve children’s well-being, learning, and play while contributing to the ecological health and resilience of our cities."
