WOW! What a spectacular week we've had 🥺😍 It’s been great seeing sooo many of you… the amount of outpouring of love & support has been amazing. With that said, although the West Village location will be closing at the end of today, we’ll be launching a ghost kitchen that will continue to deliver your favorite Flip Sigi dishes! It’s with great sadness that we announce the closure of our West Village location. Times are changing and providing a place for cheap eats in NYC is becoming more and more difficult. SO please join us for one more good time over the next few weeks as we celebrate 8 years of Flip Sigi in NYC before our final grand closing party on March 2nd 🎉

Our Story
In the Spring of 2015, David and I hired Jordan Andino (@fork_knife) to fill the role of Executive Chef of an extremely popular and large seasonal seafood restaurant in Sag Harbor NY. In addition to being impeccably trained and having worked at some of the most revered and prestigious restaurants in the US, Jordan had just wrapped a season as the personal chef to the Kardashians while they filmed their TV series in the Hamptons.
Even during the interview for our Sag Harbor venue, Jordan stood out immediately from all of the other candidates. From the beginning of the pre-season preparations through the end of the overwhelmingly busy summer season in the Hamptons, Jordan’s attention to detail, motivation and professional demeanor greatly contributed to a hugely successful 2015 season.
The three of us became fast friends as we worked so well together. Each of us contributing our individual expertise and strengths, we wanted to build something amazing and unique together. Knowing that interest in Filipino food and culture was growing in popularity, we decided to build an approachable, recognizable and reliable Filipino brand. It was only natural that Jordan become the ambassador and ‘face’ of what we consider the Filipino movement in America.
Almost instantly, Jordan was appointed as a representative of the Department of Tourism for the Philippines. It’s no wonder and understandable given Jordan’s work ethic, charm and good looks that he has been nominated by People Magazine for Sexiest Chef in America two consecutive years…and counting. In addition, Jordan has been the host of two successful TV Shows, ‘Late Nite Eats’ and ‘Food Boats’ on the Cooking Channel.
