Welcome to Cardiff University PhotoSoc! The following rules are in place so there can be no misconception regarding the responsibilities of each member of this group. They have been primarily implemented to protect members and to ensure this forum is kept stric
tly for photography and PhotoSoc related matters. Members:
* You are completely responsible for the content of your posts.
* You agree not to post any links or messages that lead to material which could be deemed obscene, discriminatory, unlawful, or threatening in nature. The Admins reserve the right to delete, or otherwise remove any material which is deemed to be an infraction of this rule, based solely on their discretion.
* Should you disagree with an admin's decision regarding one of your posts, please contact that admin, privately. Publicly challenging an admin may result in deletion, regardless of who is deemed right.
* Should an Admin contact you requesting changes in your posts, or any other comments, you are expected to cooperate completely.
* Personal attacks on any members will not be tolerated, and these posts will be deleted and the instigators banned.
* Although casual swearing is tolerated, excessive swearing and abusive language is not tolerated.
* Flaming is not tolerated. Any member who routinely taunts, insults, or engages in any inflammatory, behaviour will be deleted along with their posts.
* Spamming is not tolerated. Do not post messages repeatedly in an effort to gain attention. Furthermore, should it be obvious by your posting style that you are here only to promote your business or product, you may receive a warning or be deleted. It is permissible for active, involved members to post links to their personal or business web sites.
*Direct marketing towards our members is expressly prohibited, your comments/messages/invites will be removed at our discretion. You may also be deleted from the group without explanation.
*The sale of old photographic equipment and related items is not only allowed, but is encouraged. No one likes ebay/paypal fees (‘cept them).
* If you are removed from the group you may appeal for readmission, but the admin’s decision is final. The Photosoc admins:
* Reserve the right to delete any post with or without explanation.
*May contact you regarding your post's content, etc., and any such requests for change are expected to be complied with.
*We do not condone the sharing of illegally acquired software, nor do we tolerate discussions regarding the distribution of same. Such posts will be removed or edited.
* Admins cannot and do not review every single post, nor are we responsible for the content of any post, other than their own.
