Wm. Haskins Woodworks
Custom Furniture & Finish Carpentry
This week and I installed this incredibly ornate trim in the kitchen of a Nashville-based musician and producer. The repeating patterns made for some challenging miters, but it was awfully satisfying to stand back and take it all in once the frieze and crown was hung…
Blanks for another batch of spalted maple belt buckles…
Spalted maple belt buckle.
This was a cased opening before we installed these. Thanks Cox Interior for supplying the beautiful solid wood french doors!
I got to work with Wm. Haskins Woodworks again this week while he worked his magic installing a few doors in this house. Of course we forgot to take before pictures but there were no doors before this.
I call him the Door Whisperer.
Progress pics from my latest project, some applied molding wainscoting in a client’s dining room. I have some openings in my schedule late September if y’all have any remodeling in mind.
That’s how I load 16’ lumber in an 8’ bed. These braces keep the boards on edge, preventing them from flopping up and down on the road…

Built a pair of folding sawhorses this week that pinch a sacrificial rail at the top by way of a strap at the bottom. First time using this style of sawhorse. 5 stars, would recommend.
East Nashville staircase I’m getting close to wrapping up. 🔨
While trimming a historic home in East Nashville with 7-1/2” base, I ran into an obstacle—the air return vent. This was my solution.

A teak side table I recently built for a customer’s outdoor living area (read: big ol’ back porch). Second shot is of the through-tenons that secure the legs to the top bracing.
Before 👉 After. Stairs in an East Nashville remodel. Really happy with the way these tread return miters came out.
New table available!! Reclaimed oak on the cast iron base of a former sewing machine.

Really proud of this project, a 6 foot by 7 foot thumbprint heart for , an organization committed to addiction recovery for women.

It’s up on the pedestrian bridge in downtown Nashville tonight for their Women Touched by Addiction event.

Been buried in this project for the last week. The back of our house faces south, so the patio is a frying pan during the summer. Still a ways to go—metal roof, trim, painting, etc.
After a few attempts at designing a headstock for my new guitar build, I settled on this profile. I don’t *think* I’ve copied anyone else! 😬
Making a set of 4 floating shelves.
First pic is the “guts” of the shelves before the bottom was glued on. Second is the shelves mounted to boards for painting.
Added a two walls and door to create a desk alcove and offer some privacy for a game room-turned-home office.

A little stairway grid panel I did in East Nashville this week. Still needs paint...
