Drawing Henna on the fingers can always be a little interesting because I need the design to match the rest of the pattern.
It also always feels like it won’t take much time but it adds up!
What do you think of these finger design?
Here is what I think of the first and second picture:
I love it because it reminds me of a pretty sunset on a valley during a hike.

How to get darker henna: Tip #2!
Are you’d trifling with getting a dark henna color when using natural henna?
It is different from chemical or store-bought henna aka “instant cones” which you can remove very quickly and still get a deep color (although it has danger to cause blisters, fades much faster and it stinks!)
For natural henna it is extremely important to keep it on as long as you can!
Overnight is ideal for bridal henna or at least 6-8 hours. Which is great because you finally get to rest and no one can tell you to do anything or bother you, In fact they have to hand feed you (which is always fun to watch happening and so so sweet)!
Now is the time the bride really feels like a real bride and usually when it starts to sink in!
But But if you’re just getting Henna at a party and it’s gonna be hard to keep it on for that long? 4 hours should still get a decent stain but if you are following the first two tips then you will definitely be well on your way to getting a really dark stain!
Check out some stain pictures as you swipe.
let me know in the comments what’s your favorite Henna darkening tap and if you want to see more please click the heart, share or bookmark icons. Would love to hear from you guys.

Traditionally we have so many wedding events and sometimes they are spaced out on the calendar. My advice for brides doing an earlier Nikkah or Baat pakki or Ring ceremony is to opt for lighter henna designs that are very elegant and go for full bridal henna during their Shadi, Valima or Wedding reception.
I can cater to any style henna, I show many designs to the bride so she can pick what something that matches the kind of event it will be.

How to make your henna super dark?
Tip 1: use Henna and I give it a good dose of . This terp allows more dye molecules to be available in the paste. Very critical: it is very important to use the Henna at the right time when it’s ready. After mixing the henna let it sit for12 hours to 24 hours before using the this helps to make sure that the has released and it is ready to use. Don’t buy these henna cones at stores but get it directly from a henna artist. Who knows how long that henna come in the store has been sitting on the shelf for? And it’s traveled across the world or been sitting for 2 years it’s definitely just chemicals. Real henna is food grade and will go bad just like food if left outside for too long.
Which of these points had you never heard of before?

Please swipe past this blurry picture! When you see the next one you will know why it’s blurry. I’m doing an experiment!
What I do when I’m making henna cones! Binge on sometimes! Also when I’m doing boring laundry chores I do it while watching something or listening to an audio book. Can you guess what I’m watching? 😛 Also what is your chore do you do while watching or listening to something?

This was a busy week for me but here is a small snippet of all the folks I met! Why I love my job… putting a smile on someone face, for a few minutes, and hope they keep remembering me at least until their henna lasts!
Bridal henna from last night. The bride’s fiancé actually had picked this design from some time ago and she asked me to replicate this one for her and hide her fiancé’s name in there. Sometimes we do henna in places where we feel like this could be our own extended family. They fussed over me for 6 hours and told me I was the guest of honor to which I was obviously laughing! This was the second wedding in their family they called me for… the previous one was for their sons wedding a few years ago. I feel so humbled by people’s overwhelming love and generosity. I have never had a client who was not exceptionally kind to me! Alhamdulillah!.
This was probably the cutest Henna request I ever got in my life. This couple came to me while holding hands and didn’t let go and wanted me to do Henna for both of them together. It was the sweetest thing to witness that love between them. if there ever was one! The idea was her husband and she was just blushing. Please share and like we need to hear more true stories of endearing love!
Which one do you like more, 1 (simpler) or 2 (fancier)?
Yesterday we had a stall at the Muslim Makers Expo… I wanted to share pics of the hard work that went into this booth with you guys. It was so fun talking and chatting to everyone who came by my stall! Met my lovely friends too who have always been there to give me support and encouragement I love them for it! .can and THANK YOU ALWAYS!
I had planned some more elements like a backdrop curtain which I could not put up due to the gusts of wind and the possibility of rain. In fact, there were a few instances where we had to hold on to the legs of the tent to prevent it from almost flying off 🤣!
I sold out of my Lavender and Tea Tree oil henna cones which was unexpected because I know henna is quite seasonal… and quite a few boxes of my sampler kit which had a Jagua cone, lavender and tea tree. I also had aftercare spray and which I made at home and they of course have to smell like .
Anyhow it was still great fun, a great learning experience and motivation to work more on some of my branding and marketing materials! I got a new logo! Can you spot it in the pictures???
Running a small business is hard work, super time consuming and the costs can add up. The reality is that sometimes you spend more than you make, but there are always hidden rewards that cannot be quantified monetarily that easily. One of the biggest for me was having my daughter work beside me… having her experience the process of marketing, branding, making products, and setting up a stall. She was my assistant and she is 9! I got her input in lots of stuff like decor, she arranged the spray bottles and did the photos on the Golden grid stand. This was priceless for me, spending the time with her and giving her a real entrepreneurial experience. This morning she woke up wanting to make a logo for her own newsletter “company” with her friends. She has a second company too apparently where she will make and sell things at her school kids fair. I love that she already is applying things that she learnt with me in this process.
Well that went on a bit of a tangent, but I wanted to share some moments too with you guys!
Happy Sunday!
Are you coming? I will have a special at my stall!
