Congratulations to Zach Ebel for successfully completing the Crushed-to-Dust Challenge this past Saturday!
Zach Ebel, of Kemptville, Ontario, Canada, has successfully met the Crushed-to-Dust! Challenge! Completing the CTD Challenge demonstrates exceptional all-around grip strength: the gripster must lift 90 kg on the Rolling Thunder and 20 kg on the IronMind Hub and close the Captains of Crush No. 2 gripper, all according to the official rules. Zach, who is 35 years old and weighs 216 lb. at 6’ 2.5”, performed this feat at Eric Roussin’s 3 Tonnes Gym in Gatineau, Quebec, at the Armlifting World Super Series. Zach, who works in finance for the Canadian Public Service, likes to spend his free time rock climbing with his daughter and going to the lake. Receiving his first set of weights when he was 13, Zach has been lifting weights ever since, and enjoys training for powerlifting, strongman, and his new primary focus of grip sport. Congratulations, Zach: your name has been added to the official list: IronMind Crushed-To-Dust! Certification list: https://ironmind.com/certification/crushed-to-dust-challenge/certification-list/
Here’s a video of Zach Ebel’s official attempt to certify on the Crushed-To-Dust! Challenge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmBVFMxCAus. Special thanks to referee Eric Roussin, who's not just a great competitor in the grip strength world, but also a top drawer ambassador.
