Why hire Day of Coordination for your Wedding Day?
There are a multitude of reasons but I’ll tell you a few good ones.

Firstly, a Wedding Coordinator differs from a Wedding Planner in the sense that they step in a few months prior to the big day to focus on logistics/ organization and everything planned thus far, opposed to a Wedding Planner that deals with the overall design/theme/ vendor recommendations etc.

1. The Ceremony. It’s a big important part of the Wedding and you want to make sure it runs perfectly. It’s best to have someone coordinate so everybody involved in the processional knows exactly when to start walking and they know exactly where they need to be. You will need someone to communicate with the DJ/ Music Talent to let them know everything is about to begin! There’s a lot of moving pieces!

2. Let’s face it. You don’t want to be doing any kind of work on your Wedding Day. You should be relaxing and taking in the beauty of it all. It’s much easier to have someone working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly, putting out small fires if necessary and making sure that the timeline is on track.

3. With that being said, leave the timelines to a professional. I know, I know, you are super organized and may be up for the challenge. But seriously, it’s better to have someone who has been involved with multiple weddings and has a firm grasp on timelines, realistically mapping out how long everything takes in a day. When should florists arrive? What time does everything need to be set up by? How much time in between speeches to ensure dinner is served promptly? These are some of th ways that a Wedding Coordinator to help assist!

Here at This Love & Co. we offer Day of Coordination which starts 8 weeks prior to your Wedding Day! If you’d like additional information please feel free to reach out! Always here to help!

Photograph tip for walking back down the aisle:

Once you get closer to the end of the aisle, pause, and do a kiss. Trust me, it makes for an adorable moment where the photographer can catch you in a quick kiss and also have your bridal party and everyone else in the background. Win win!

It’s all about the veil. But seriously, they are gorgeous and I’m here for them.

Personal Tidbit - My mama made my veil for me. Countless trips to the fabric store, multiple texts back and forth about the design, she even had to measure on my little sister for the best length. I was living in Toronto and she was in Alberta so we had to get creative! The first time I saw the veil in person was when she flew down for the wedding. I was in LOVE. Such a special moment for us.

Want to include your pup in the wedding but it’s not allowed? Here are some fun ways to include your furry friends.

• Have them join at the first look. Depending on the location but if it’s separate from your ceremony space you may be able to swing it!

• Incorporate them on cookies. Yep, I said it. Sugar cookies these days can go into such beautiful detail. Get some customized cookies for your big day.
Ps. You could use them as your favours!

• Like craft beer? Hit up a local brewery and see if you can get personalized cans. We did this for our wedding to make sure our dog was included! Swipe to check it out!
