🎭 EXPRESSIVE ARTS & DESIGN 🎭

Every single Tumble Tot has the opportunity to express themselves however they want, whether this is through our Action Songs or the way they move around the class. In our older classes, Tumble Tots are encouraged to make their own decisions and explore different ways of moving across our equipment!

🌎 UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD 🌎

Tumble Tots engage in stories, nursery rhymes and Action Songs to help them understand the world around them. They also engage with other Tumble Tots and learn how to navigate each other, work as part of a group and develop a sense of community! Having a weekly routine by attending their classes each week is another crucial step in understanding the world around them 📆✅

➗ MATHEMATICS ➗

Babies attending Tumble Tots are exposed to number sequences, for example hearing verbal counting as they build a tower, before moving on to explore numbers, patterns colours and shapes!

As children progress through the programme, they develop spatial reasoning too by navigating tunnels or narrow beams. Our oldest Tumble Tots join in group counting activities during Circle Times and Action Songs 👏

📖 LITERACY 📖

Language comprehension is necessary for both reading and writing, and develops when adults talk with children whether that is through day-to-day conversations, nursery rhymes, storytelling or songs – all of which we explore in every Tumble Tots class! And one of our favourite activities, climbing, can even contribute to developing handwriting, by building on cross-lateral skills ✏️

💛 PERSONAL, SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT 💛

All of our classes give Tumble Tots the opportunity to form relationships with each other and with different grown-ups outside of their family environment. Circle Times also give Tumble Tots the space to self-express their emotions and ideas. Even simply wearing their yellow Tumble Tots t-shirt helps to create a sense of group and social identity!

💪 PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT 💪

Our programme is all about offering early years children a structured physical play class where they can explore and develop their physical skills by climbing, balancing, jumping, and rolling on our brightly coloured bespoke equipment, introducing them to a range of different activities as early as possible 🤸‍♀️

💭 COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE 💭

All through the Tumble Tots programme, children have the opportunity to share ideas, listen to others, and echo back new vocabulary 📖

Circle Times in our 6 Months – Walking Classes provide babies with exposure to a rich language environment, and as they progress through the classes Tumble Tots learn an array of new words through Body Identification rhymes and Action Songs! Our oldest Tumble Tots must listen carefully to instructions and communicate about what they have heard 🫡

We are now closed for the summer holidays. We reopen from the 10th September 🙂

Just a reminder that due to Wanstead House being used as a Polling Station for the General Election we are closed tomorrow (Thursday 4th July).

Beat the heat and keep cool in classes this week! Here are our top tips to keep classes comfortable as the temperature rises:
☀️ Wear light, loose fitting clothing
☀️ Take a break if your Tumble Tot is getting too warm
☀️ Keep a cold drink nearby for Tumble Tots and grown ups alike
