About John Bickerton
I am a Brooklyn, NY-based composer and pianist with a background in both classical composition and jazz improvisation. I’ve recorded jazz trio albums for Leo Lab Records (UK) and for the CIMP (Creative Improvised Music Projects) label.
My latest album is entitled Dovecotes on the Simple Harmonic Motion Records label. The music blends a melodic lyricism with the type of rhythmic flow heard in free jazz and other open improvisational formats.
