We went full send to to their first annual Women In Construction Summit and we couldn’t have been more honored to be there for it. Missy was a keynote speaker, panelist, and overall positive energy spreader, and Mattie, the content queen was busy documenting and filming. We both had a quick break to join forces for a BCB social media workshop built around creating content concepts and showing up online.

This is a general idea of the fun we had and how we felt when it was over… 😜

Right now we are currently most active on Instagram and TikTok, but we are moving towards being more synced over here on Facebook. Stay with us- we are “under construction!”

We started BCB as a platform to create engaging and creative media for the construction community focused on building pride and spotlighting the REAL HUMANS and BLUE COLLAR TALENT behind the work.

But even in the short time that we’ve been live, we’ve evolved into having several additional purposes and passions we want to bring to the table. I know a lot of you have loved and followed my good friend and biz partner for years, and now I’m here to help creatively bring her visions to life through media at BCB.

I’ve been a photographer for 10+ years, built my business through social media and marketing, and now just starting to add video to the work load. We are thinking about adding a “Monday Media with Mattie” series.

One of the coolest things about BCB is that Missy and I both bring very different knowledge and skillsets to the brand. Missy being a construction company owner with vast knowledge of business ownership and leadership/running a team. Mattie being a seasoned photographer, artist and content creator with editing skills through a variety of programs and apps, and a music background with knack for gettin’ that audio right, yaknowmsayin…. 😏🔥

As more and more women step into the world of construction and continue to pave the way for those to come, we must celebrate and empower them. Women have always been at the forefront of innovation and determination, pioneering fields like science, technology, engineering, and construction. Today, on WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION WEDNESDAY, we salute their strength, resilience, and intelligence, as they break barriers and pave new pathways for future generations.
In construction, women like Missy bring diverse skills, experiences and perspectives to the table. They excel in leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork, qualities that are essential for projects of all sizes and complexities. By encouraging and promoting women in the industry, we assure a more balanced and innovative workforce, capable of addressing the challenges ahead. 💪🏻🦺

At the Women in Construction Summit on March 5-6, as a keynote speaker, Missy plans on telling the unedited version of her story as a woman in construction and how to make sure other women have a seat at the table. To watch her empower other women in this industry, is one of the biggest reasons I love to support her story.
