I love portrait photography. People say so much without saying a word.

This is Mama Maria. I know her as a very strong woman who survived Franco's depression, extreme poverty and difficult circumstances throughout her life. Sometimes, I see and feel her vulnerability, her fragility. This was one of those moments.

IT'S BEEN 8 YEARS since I designed the logo for The 1857 in Historic Paducah, KY. Such a thrill to see the business evolve and grow with the same design. Not just a boutique hotel and guest house, it now has an event center and cocktail bar.
