Big Waves in Ameland Inlet
Our wave researchers can't resist getting up close and personal with their subject! Assistant Professor Marion Tissier and PhD student Floris de Wit are investigating the effects of strong tidal currents on waves at Ameland Inlet. The conditions were too intense for sediment sampling, but provided a valuable chance to study first-hand the transformation of large waves around the ebb-tidal delta.
