Come build LEGO with us!
On Saturday, November 11 at 12:30, kids of all ages are invited to see a robotics demonstration with Clinton's FIRST Tech Challenge Team, and stay to build with LEGO! You'll get to take home your creation. Click here to let us know you’re coming: https://forms.gle/XU2RitfForFo425D6

Some motor mount prototypes… and a failed motor mount prototype
If you’re like us and still working through a stockpile of 2” Gaffer’s tape, a cutting mat, guide and rotary cutter makes quick work of splitting it in two!
FedEx was a little rough with the box, but it’s here!
A few Open Odometry pods. Working hard to get through some upgrades before the season…
Sorting screws after a FTC camp at MVCC… like LEGO sorting but less colorful
Robot parts storage mark II : bigger, better, stronger!
They’re so cute!
Can one truly have too many servos?
There’s no guarantee that all of these really work, but I think we are set for next season.
In the off season we use all the LEGO acquired from years of FLL to build contraptions for Science Olympiad…
This sounds like a great outreach project. We might need to upgrade our printer once the templates are available.
This 3D-Printed Violin Cost $7 The 3D-printed violins are affordable and still sound beautiful, making them great instruments for young learners.
Intense concentration at the Excelsior FIRST Tech Challenge Championship
We added support to our BWT Link slides to keep them parallel, and had some extra space to add bling!
We are at the Clarkson University Qualifier for FTC Excelsior region and saw this…
Follow our progress in the frozen wastes of Potsdam NY tomorrow on the Clarkson Qualifier livestream

A long day at Broadalbin Perth is in the bag. Just have to wait for judging results and the final matches!
Live stream of the Broadalbin Perth competition: we are match 2…
After way too much fiddling around and some pricey upgrades, the Creality CR-6 SE is printing again. Just in time for Sunday’s competition!
Our team helped out at the MVCC Excelsior Region Qualifer yesterday, we had a blast! (If maybe tempered by a little sleep deprivation)
Can’t wait until we compete again next weekend in Broadalbin Perth!
Teams from across the state put robots to the test at FIRST Tech Challenge in Utica
Teams from across the state put robots to the test at FIRST Tech Challenge in Utica Students from across the state gathered at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica Sunday to test their robotics skills.
I think this multimeter might need new batteries. And new battery contacts.
Wait, we were supposed to have a beacon?
Done!
Our first competition this year, at Corning!
Thanks to for hosting and 16854 Nuclear Detonation for the sharpie!
This kind of hotel wall art really grinds my gears.
Sometimes you just have to send out a care package. Good luck to the Thorium Chi Bots!
The slides have started going on! Our screws were too proud for the slides to move smoothly so we did a little drill press machining to get them working properly.
Come volunteer at a robotics tournament this year! You will meet great friends and help out a bunch of enthusiastic teenagers!
Well, I guess this is why the test robot didn’t drive straight. One corner of the plywood had a void, so the wheel was slightly off alignment.
Competition robot is using higher quality plywood, and maybe we can even get it CNC’d for the second revision
Sometimes it’s important to have projects that the coach can participate in, like building storage.
In honor of our merging with Geared Up, we are changing the name of our organization to FIRST Tech Challenge Team 6347, Nerds of a Feather
Join us Saturday September 10 at 11 AM for the FIRST Tech Challenge Power Play season kickoff! We will be at the with the new game elements under wraps until the game is released at noon!
Learn about FIRST, brainstorm strategies, meet teams new and old!
We are in the process of merging with and found this blast from the past. A robot name tag honoring the Mohawk Valley FIRST coordinator when we started this journey back in FIRST LEGO League ! Even better, it was originally on one of the robots our graduating senior made in a summer camp.
