Hi there, and thanks for stopping by!
- Watercolor/mixed media artist
- PNW for life!
- Wife + mom
Holidays can be a mixed bag. Whether it's food and drink, loved ones, faith, or just the hope that next year will be better than the last - may your guiding light shine brighter.
"Guiding Light" is a piece I made a few years ago with watercolor, metallic watercolor, and paper. I hope by sharing this piece I can provide a moment of respite for whoever happens to see.

Maybe just don't look too close at this fella.
Day 2 of is Dandelion! I made a nice video where I even read a poem I wrote that matched the photo, but it just didn't post? Anyway! Here ya go.
Day 1: Cave
Whoa! Haven't posted in a while. But I'm going to try to take part in this year. I'm limiting myself to using this orangey brown paper I got from a FB free group, my glass dip pen, and black waterproof ink. I'm hoping those limits will allow me to add on if I really want to, but keep it simple and easy to complete. I haven't been making art really at all for months now because of life stuff, but I'm hoping I can try to ease back into it with a small, daily practice like this.
Paper/mixed media collage made for the prompt ! This week's prompt was "Home/Polaroid."
Bucket Hats! These are now live in my RB shop! If you follow the link in bio, there's a button saying "BUCKET HATS" that will take you there.
Anyways I'm going back to Slug Mode because this week long heat wave is going to be the death of me.

Whoa, hey, haven't posted in a while! The news and current events here in the US are, well, s**t! But I finally finished this one. It's untitled for now. But hopefully a nice spot to stop doomscrolling for a bit.
Hello everyone,
Popping on to say ALL of the prints in my Society6 shop are currently 40% off! This sale runs now through July 4th.

The current work in progress - droopy petal flowers of some sort! Featuring my giant new scissors.
----
Did a little sketchy sketch of Mt. St. Helens and some wildflowers today. I'm trying for what feels like the umpteenth time to regularly use a sketchbook, we'll see how long it lasts 😅
----
With some help, I turned one of my little flower stamps into a pattern and put it on some stuff in my shops. So cuuuute! That looks like a great hat to wear and pretend I'm going to do yard work.
The artist behind the art. FINALLY a sunny day in the PNW!
Peep the socks and sandals, and the skull shirt I convinced my husband ( ) to make A Thing.

New stamp friends! I should really start putting color on the stamp before carving so I can see what in the Sam Hill I'm even carving. Hoping I'll get the ink out tomorrow and see if they turned out!
(P.S. Is it Sam Hill or Sam Hell? I thought it was sam hell but internet says otherwise!)

Today collage in progress is brought to you by Friday, the new My Chemical Romance single, coffee, and pure catharsis. I'm not sure what this work means yet, it's more one of those things that's just based on vibes and I'm figuring it out as I go.

Okay so.... I'm tired of being too scared of gouache to use it. So I'm going to continue to bite off more than I can chew and try over and over until I figure out how I like to use it. How could this plan possibly fail?
Live, from my dining room table.... A bunch of work I'm hoping to get started on for scanning/uploading today. These abstract pieces have really been where my creative mind is at lately and I really dig them.
Made with old India inks, various scraping implements, posca pens, and some with reclaimed/secondhand papers. Oh, and some touches of Posca pen! I finally got some and I'm starting to see the hype.
