Why would anyone (particularly women here in my state of Texas) deliberately choose to share misinformation/fake news? I would hope that every person checks their sources, by multiple ways to determine the accuracy of what they are posting BEFORE it’s shared.

Please don’t just click share without doing your due deligence about its accuracy.

For example, I saw an post/article from a San Antonio, Texas newspaper reporting that “A new study found that “fake news” on Twitter, now X, is shared by an extremely small population: Republican middle-aged white women from three conservative states — Texas, Florida and Arizona.” I didn’t want to share that link without checking it out first. This post is the result of my research to find out if there was a real study that I felt was accurate to share. (although there was a link in the newspaper article to the study, I did an independent search to see if I could come up with the same study, which I did.)

Welcome to tax season! Please contact us to set up your appointment or drop off your tax return info. The first day the IRS will accept e-filed 2023 tax returns is Jan. 29. You don’t have to wait until then to have your taxes prepared by us.

FROM THE IRS:

For example, most software companies accept electronic submissions and then hold them until the IRS is ready to begin processing later this month.”

OUR OFFICE MASK POLICY

It’s hard to believe it has been a year of learning how to deal with the pandemic as it relates to our business and our clients.

What a year it has been for everyone! Like you, we have shifted our expectations weekly and even daily at times. We have learned facts and unlearned myths about what we have all experienced since late March 2020. For better or for worse, we are undeniably a changed society and with change always come new lessons and responsibilities.

One of our main responsibilities in addition to providing our clients great service, has been to be very aware of how we continued to do business in this new health environment. We have endeavored to be considerate of your health, our health and everyone’s feelings about all this change.

We respect every client and know there are a variety of opinions regarding the rescinding of the mask mandate. However, some of our clients and staff are considered higher risk than others and we do not want to potentially expose them to the Covid 19 virus, by lifting the masks in our office, so we will continue to require that everyone still wear a mask while in our office. This also allows those higher risk clients to feel comfortable continuing to visit us. If there is a single thing we have all enjoyed during the last year, it has been your visits to our office, so we appreciate your graciousness and respect regarding this. Thank you.
