Molkky, a fun game for all, was 'discovered' by Owen and wife Margaret when they travelled to visit
While travelling to Europe in 2003, Owen and Margaret played many games of Molkky with friends at their lakeside cottage in northern Finland. Taken by the simplicity of the game, Owen returned to New Zealand and started hand crafting them in his 'workshop'. Today, Molkky - Made by Owen are shipped around New Zealand for all to enjoy! Molkky is also known by other names such as, Klop, Wooden Scatter, Wooden Skittles and Finska!

It's time for Papa Owen to hang up his hat on Molkky - Made by Owen!
After making Molkky for over 15 years, and shipping them to hundreds of people around NZ, Papa Owen has decided that it's time to call it a day.
Owen isn't slowing down too much, he's still volunteering at a local primary school, serving on the South Taranaki Community Board, gardening, and much more. His reason to 'hang up his hat' is about wood prices rising too much which means Dad can no longer make Molkky at a reasonable price.
Owen celebrated his 88th birthday last week, so watch this space as we plan his 90th birthday in two short years!
