Coming back atcha Da Vinci!
Vitruvian Woman is one of my first prints done as a dry point etching. I’ve always wanted to depict the image as a powerful female giving birth. I did a life size painting of this on corrugated cardboard during lockdown, and was interested to try it as an etching. This has been the springboard of several artworks to come which I’m really excited about. Watch this space!
Giclée prints(of the print!) are available in my Etsy print shop at artlal.etsy.com

When there’s nothing inspiring on Netflix…draw what you found this summer
Stumbled across a few early sketches of what became ‘Wednesday Lunch’. Interesting to see the differences - there’s a nice looseness about the first 2…the first looks like I did it with my left hand though I can’t remember. The pink one is the under drawing for the final painting which I’m glad became less tight with paint!
This painting sold a while ago but is a popular A4 giclée print for sale at Artlal.com
My art prints are settling in nicely and cafes. Here’s a new one up in Potters Pantry - first time I’ve tried a larger print size than the original painting. I like the way it emphasises the paintbrush strokes and lights and shadows of the thick paint.
Here’s the second of my paintings in the summer exhibition of Highgate Contemporary Art . ‘Sky Clearing’ oil on canvas board 45.5 x 33.5cm
Lots of interesting work to see and buy from 46 artists https://highgateart.com/summer-exhibition-2023-1
Lovely to have a couple of my paintings in the summer exhibition of Highgate Contemporary Art . This is ‘View of Highgate from Kenwood’ acrylic on canvas board 29 x 20cm
Lots of great work to see and buy https://highgateart.com/summer-exhibition-2023-1

‘Dog Walk’ This painting of the Duver in Seaview, the Isle of Wight arrived safely by post with its new owner after the exhibition. It was a work of 2 stages, at first marking out the land/seascape with loose brushstrokes, and then working in a little detail as a focal point. Hence the title!

I’ve been on quite a journey trying to produce an A2 size giclée print of this large portrait of my dad. There are several challenges involved when reproducing something this big, from the photography stage through to colour matching. After lots of advice and a couple of attempts, I’m pleased with the results.
Also here’s a pic of my dad trying to lift the original with a fit of the giggles!
Thanks .art and for all your help.

Longlisted for Women In Art Prize — Alice Parsloe Lovely to hear my bouncy painting ‘JUMP!’ has been longlisted for the Women In Art Prize. Here’s hoping it’ll leap into the next round! Ba doom chh!
Prints prints prints!
A while ago I refreshed my artwork in 2 local cafes with these giclée prints of my original artwork. I’m loving this as it means being able to recreate work that has sold in an affordable way, often at a smaller size than the original that suits a lot of people! Again, these are all on beautiful textured Hahnemühle German etching paper printed by the brilliant .
Prints of most of my artworks on Artlal.com are available in A4 and A3 size.
The cafés they’re showing at are the lovely in New Barnet and in Whetstone.

‘Ashridge’ was the first painting to sell in my exhibition and the last to deliver! Giclée prints still available on Artlal.com - the framed picture is an A4 print.
Palette knife and brush in oil on acrylic base on canvas.
Delivered a couple of prints today, one of ‘Reading Under Blossom’ and the other ‘Sea Spray’.
I’ve been meaning to offer prints of my work for some time, but it took the exhibition to spur me into action. Finding the right printer has also been key - has done these excellent giclée prints on Hahnemuhle german etching paper which really retains the quality of the paint strokes and tones.
Most of my artwork is available in roughly A3 or A4 size on Artlal.com
Another 4 pics on their way to their new owners yesterday including these 2 - Spring Walk and Storm Passing. Farewell my beauties!
Giclée prints still available of all work from exhibition - see Artlal.com for details.
What a lovely week delivering some sold artworks from my exhibition, and in the process meeting some fascinating people and catching up with old friends. Here’s Winnie, my stiltwalking boss who bought ‘Frost Melting’. Still a few to deliver but it’s really nice seeing them go to good homes/walls!
Last couple of days of my exhibition at Lauderdale House!

I’m delighted to have sold ‘Wednesday Lunch’ to a very nice couple at the weekend. It means a lot when someone shares my enthusiasm for a particular painting (and moment?). This one is especially close to my heart! Giclée prints are still available and have been the most popular print so far.
There’s also 10% off all paintings until the end of the exhibition at Lauderdale House, Highgate on Monday 22nd May.

Psst! I got my first fine art review!
By art historian David Stacey.
I’ve tried to make it big enough to see - alongside the paintings he mentions.
He also bought a framed giclée print of ‘Wednesday Lunch’ so I think he liked it!

I could have done with my stilts to put a sold sticker on this painting!
Time’s flying and there’s now less than 3 weeks left of the exhibition at Lauderdale House, Highgate. There are still plenty of artworks available and all paintings can be bought as beautiful giclée prints at affordable prices.

Sky Clearing
Walking along the Maldon promenade in the rain, the sun made a last ditch attempt to shine through the clouds before sunset. The boys lost their wellies in the sinking sand.
This will hopefully be part of my first solo exhibition if it dries in time!

Alice Parsloe | Lauderdale House Alice is an artist and actor based in North London. Her first solo exhibition explores moments in everyday life, both human and in nature. Each picture tells a story with direct brushstrokes capturing a quality of energy and movement.
Spring Walk
I love this walk through Hampstead Heath extension from open dappled sunlight into a wooded watery world. The flowers are an explosion of forget me nots but I got carried away so they look more like bluebells!
This painting will be for sale in my first solo exhibition at Lauderdale House Highgate from 27th April - 22nd May.

A very special day this week - handing my first ever oil painting over to one of its models! Corina has been a lifeguard at my local swimming pool since I started painting, and I wanted to capture the warm daily chatter between the lifeguards and swimmers. She also had a calm yet regal air sitting high up on her lifesaving throne! Since then Corina has changed lots as has her uniform, but she’s still a supportive presence in the background while we swim.

JUMP!
I usually attach a story to each picture but I think this one’s self explanatory!

Frost Melting #2
Another go at an old painting…it looks like I posted the first version a year ago but was never quite happy with the purple frost. Who knows, maybe I’ll have a third go next year!
This will be a contender for my first solo exhibition from 26th April - 22nd May at Lauderdale House, Highgate.

I’ve been painting this stormy North Wales seascape on and off for a couple of years. I started working from a photo but soon lost it in some far off web cloud.
I was interested in exploring the conflicting sky and sea, though for a while it looked like 2 separate paintings chopped across the middle. I think the sea spray helps? Also the colours are almost hyper real - this part of the world always brings shades of purple grey to mind.
The first photo’s taken in my studio and the second outside…I was struck by the difference electric light makes - I prefer it, what d’you think?

Kicking off the New Year by returning to an unfinished picture. I’m sure I’m not alone in having a stack of these in the studio!
Time and mood definitely change my perception of an artwork. I’d started this painting of the Duver beach on the Isle of Wight with quick fluid strokes but it needed a little something to draw the eye in.

The heavy snowfall left us knee deep overnight and lasted a week. I love the transformation it brings, changing every familiar view into a muffled jumble of differently coloured whites, almost exaggerating through contrast where the small bits of light fall.
Happy almost white Christmas everyone!

Really excited to have my first solo exhibition lined up next April.
Thinking about what to put in it and couldn’t think of a better way than laying out loads of paintings in the lounge! Thank you to brilliant and wise Desmond Healy .art for coming to take a look, and giving me a beginners guide to curation. Apparently I don’t get to put everything I’ve ever painted up 😬
