Some of our officers have deployed in Chester City Centre today. These officers are specially trained to identify individuals who may be planning to commit a criminal act. The deployments are unpredictable and use a range of resources to help keep you safe.

Local Neighbourhood officers are on foot patrol in Chester City Centre this morning to ensure people in the City and those attending Chester Racese are safe.

We hope that everyone has an enjoyable time, but if anyone looks to cause anti-social behaviour then action will be taken.

• Continued patrols have taken place on Leonard St and on Northgate Lock.

• The bike marking event was a success on Sunday with partner agencies assisting in marking bikes and handing out personal safety devices.

• As part of Drowning prevention week PCSO Hewitt assisted Jon Linde from Cheshire Fire & rescue service, Raising awareness of water safety. Including dangers of the water, what to do if you see someone in the water and recruiting local businesses to get involved in a water responder scheme.

Search Dog Juno is out in Chester City Centre looking for people carrying drugs. We are working with Chester Race Course to ensure the safety of people in Chester City Centre and those who are attending Chester Races.

Weekly update:

Garden Quarter
Patrols have continued around Leonard St following reports of dealing in the area.

Reassurance visits have been completed in relation to youth ASB and rough sleepers at Northgate Lock. Ongoing problem solving and partner agency work is taking place to tackle the issues.

A successful warrant took place in the Garden Quarter resulting in the seizure of several large grow rooms containing cannibas plants and a substantial amount of cannabis removed from a vehicle. 2 individuals were arrested on scene.

City
Officers involved in Op Flips engaged with the public during the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster on Friday 7th June, to make sure the day was enjoyable and keep everyone safe.

Today Cheshire Constabulary"s LGBT+ police network members, PCSO Hewitt and Bob Cartwright attended the National LGBT+ police conference in Birmingham along with Cheif Superintendent Peter Crowcroft, Detective Chief Superintendent Mike Evans and Detective Chief Inspector Dani Knox. The theme this year is 'Educate' and there were some brilliant speakers 🌈
