Our Story
About Us
In 1968, a group of women working in McLean County established the Women’s Division, as a subsidiary of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce. The organization was formed to provide a forum specifically for businesswomen to connect, network and grow professionally. Many of the female business leaders of McLean County have contributed to the organization’s rich 42 year history. Today, Professional Women of McLean County, the successor organization to Women’s Division, carries on this dynamic tradition.
PWMC is organized and operated to:
Promote, support and develop the advancement of women in business, public service and academia through information exchanges, educational programming and projects.
Encourage civic collaboration in the recognition of community advocates for the professional growth and personal health of women.
Act as a benefactor for women in their professional development and in support of individual efforts towards the advancement of women.
PWMC is driven by its members directing the organization to better serve their needs as aspiring or well-established professional women.
