With the increased risk of new wildfire starts from current and forecast weather conditions, a province-wide campfire prohibition will take effect at 12 p.m. (noon) PDT on Friday, July 12, 2024, with the exception of Haida Gwaii Forest District.
These prohibitions are being enacted to help prevent human-caused wildfires and to protect public safety.
