What a great day for our walk! 15 of us set off from Beachy Head to the De Le Warr Pavilion. A massive thank you to all who took part and to Tristan, Ella, Lily and Annie for helping to make this happen 💙 We raised awareness and had a number of conversations along the way with the public. One conversation can save a life. We have raised £480, so a huge thank you to those who have donated - every penny makes a big difference. 💙

Tomorrow we will be walking from Beachy Head (where Will lost his life) to the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill. We will remember those we have loved and lost to su***de and think of those who have survived. There is no easy conversation around su***de but we hope to raise awareness as we walk and hopefully some money to support the charities who work so hard to help those who are despondent. If you feel able, we would be grateful for any donations to support those who work tirelessly to save lives and prevent further su***des. To those who have already donated, we are truly grateful 🙏💙 Anyone is still welcome to join us. 💙

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. We remember all those we have loved and lost. 💔Yesterday some of our family attended the beautiful, powerful and heartbreaking service for those affected by su***de in London. There were far too many people at the service, all with one thing in common, su***de. All heartbroken. Those who spoke were truly inspirational and so brave. There are no words to convey the pain and devastation caused by su***de. If you do one thing today, please have a conversation around su***de and check on those around you. You may save someone’s life. 125 people die by su***de every day in the UK. We need to continue the conversation and break the stigma. We need to save lives. Be part of that 💙 ***depreventionday ***deprevention ***de ***deloss

In the UK, one person dies by su***de every two hours with it remaining as the biggest cause of death for men under 45 and with rising rates within young people. For every person who dies by su***de, an estimated 134 are affected, from family and friends to community and colleagues, as well as front line services.
Last year, we had 62 people join in, running over 300 miles collectively and 684,000 steps! We want to continue to grow this event as a su***de prevention awareness event,
reaching out to those who have been affected by su***de and also voluntary organisation and statutory services.
Join us as we aim to champion life and beat su***de in our community.
