Durham-based SITES (experimental art + performance in alternative spaces) has long been a platform for dance artists to shed light on necessary issues and create accessible, shared experiences with art. For nearly 10 years, SITES has facilitated and curated art happenings in public spaces in Durham and surrounding communities.

Before reshaping its mission, for over 7 years, SITES (an ongoing SITE-specific performance series in Durham and surrounding communities), investigated the rapid changes of development. SITES invited artists to explore the critical questions surrounding its research. How are we present with others (community) and ourselves? How do we illuminate tensions between the human body and the civic landscape we're so rapidly revising? How are we inhabiting our communities and activating what is otherwise unseen/untouched.
SITES:reset is offering up a platform for artists (all mediums) near and far, wanting to share work created during or in response to the pandemic and protest as it relates to Black Lives Matter.
