Laney and Sue at The Potomac
Edited: Thanks to Harry McClellan Laney earned a CGC and Trick Dog Title while at The Potomac show.
We just returned from a fantastic week in Fredrick MD at the Labrador Club of the Potomac.
Laney, bred by Terrie Kelly of Tuckerbrook Labradors owned by me, was handled by our good friend Susan StPeter and placed 4th in both 12-15 yellow bi***es Regular Class and Sweepstakes.
Davie bred by Lisa Folk, Mark Folk and I, owned by Martha Mumenthaler and Harry McClellan of Foliage Labradors and Service Dogs, handled by Jen Leitao, made the cut down to the top 6 in a large class of 17 in the 6-9 black males regular class.
I’m super proud of both Laney and Davie. Now it’s time to take a break from shows and work towards a Junior Hunting Title in these pups.
Big plans are in store for 2024, and we need your help as a puppy raiser!
Whether you're already a raiser for another organization or considering it for the first time, we'd love to have you on board with Foliage Retrievers. Fill out our puppy raising questionnaire at https://foliage-retrievers.org/puppy-raising-questionnaire/ and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of individuals with PTSD!
Well done Jackie, you’re amazing! Some of you may remember Jackie from our Sal and Riot litter 2 yrs ago.
Jackie, completed her Senior title at Sandhills Retriever Hunt Test. Jackie, Riot x Sal, was trained by the Osteens of Coast to Coast and handled by me(Anna Clark).
Happy National Puppy Day! So proud of Davie and Harry; Davie went Reserve Winners Dog today!

Happy Thanksgiving all!
Graycroft Sara Sal of Sunnyside took and passed two tests last evening: AKC Canine Good Citizen, and the entry evaluation for Love on a Leash. This will lead to certification as a Therapy Dog once she completes 10 supervised visits of 1 hour each volunteering at a nursing home, library or school. Sal LOVES going to work with me and giving attention and love to elementary school students and staff. This will give her the "credentials" to support what she has already shown to be her strength and passion. -Liza
Liz & "Sal" passing their LOAL Evaluation 🐾🐾
We have no litters planned in the future but if you are interested in a Chocolate Labrador our good friends at Antiquity Labradors have a couple females available. They are ready for homes at the end of October.
***Contact Susan StPeter at [email protected]
Our sweet and spunky Sal x Bandit puppies all went to their homes at the end of the week, ready to bond over the weekend. The owners' smiles and advance preparations made all the work worthwhile! Much love to you, puppies! We are confident that you will have wonderful lives in these homes! Please send pictures! -Liza
Wanna help / play? Two of the Sal x Bandit puppies went home with the wonderful couple who started and run Foliage Retrievers Service Dogs. The dogs will need names. Follow them on FB or Instagram, and offer name suggestions. We'll try to pass along any you leave here, too. One male, one female. One name will start with "D" and the other with "E". So far, they have "Aspen" (a Sal x Luke puppy), Barry and Bonnie, and Chester Cheese.
