Metro Detroit Share
Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Metro Detroit Share will have a booth at the 2024 2024 Wyandotte Street Art Fair π¨ July 10 to July 13. We need volunteers to staff the booth. It's super easy and we can give you a brief training. We reduced shifts to 1 hour in hopes of filling all the spots. You can sign up for as many as you'd like.
This is a great opportunity for awareness of what we do. We can really use your help! Thank you

If our booth is not manned the entire time, we may have to leave this fair. We have an opportunity to inform so many people as this street fair sees over 200,000 people during the weekend! Please consider donating some of your time

Metro Detroit Share recently donated another Caring Cradle to McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. We are so grateful for the staff there who are dedicated to supporting families during their loss. Thank you for being a great partner.
Volunteers needed 6/27 to 6/30. All we need is for the booth to be staffed. It's super easy! Enjoy some time outside and help spread awareness of what we do to help families. We are close to needing to cancel this great opportunity if we don't get people to sign up.
Everything we do for families we do at no cost but we need volunteers to help continue our mission. Thank you.

We need volunteers to help staff the booth and to set-up/tear down. This is a great opportunity for us to show what we do and to inform families of the support available to them. You do NOT need to be a member of Share to volunteer.
I'm hoping some of you will help us by signing up for a shift. We REALLY appreciate it. Thank you!
We are in need of more volunteers!

Friday our friends Jess and Lloyd Gary and Michele and Kyle Caruso held a special fundraiser for their daughters 10th birthday with the proceeds going to Metro Detroit Share. Please take a moment and remember these families at this time of year and this milestone which can be so difficult.
In Michelle's words"
Ten years ago (2013) on Christmas Eve, my best friend Jessica and I started on a path neither of us wanted to take. Instead of celebrating the birth of our Christmas babies, we were transformed into grieving mothers in an instant. Our daughters, Savannah and Ramona, were born a day apart, but both were dead by Christmas Day.
Ramona and Savannah changed us, and even on the days we are exhausted from work, raising living children, and dealing with everyday stresses, we still make time for meetings, fundraisers, and walk planning, because it matters. Metro Detroit Share matters to the families who show up to a meeting two weeks after their loss, or have been holding grief inside for years. It matters to every family who leaves the hospital with a box instead of a baby; to every mother who pushes one last time, desperately hoping the doctor was wrong, that her baby will cry, only to be greeted with silence; to every father who makes the phone calls to waiting grandparents to tell them the devastating news; it matters to the parents who are told there is nothing else they can do for their baby. Metro Detroit Share matters because we operate with one simple principle: βEach new life, no matter how fragile or brief, forever changes the world.β
There is still time to come down to support this amazing fundraiser that will only do good β€οΈ. Come honor and remember Ramona and Savannah while ensuring that no parents go through the unimaginable alone.
