Happy National DNA Day!
DNA Day commemorates the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA and the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003.
The MDCGC outreach subcommittee is celebrating DNA Day by visiting several local Maryland and DC high schools to talk with students about genetic counseling and how they can apply the material they've learned in the classroom to a future career in genetics.

El día del ADN conmemora el descubrimiento de la estructura de doble hélice del ADN y tambien la finalización del Proyecto Genoma Humano en el 2003.
El MDCGC subcomité de extensión está celebrando el Día del ADN visitando a varias escuelas secundarias locales en Maryland y DC para hablar con los estudiantes sobre el asesoramiento genético y cómo ellos puedan aplicar el material que han aprendido en la aula a una futura carrera en genética.

The MDCGC invites you to save the date for our Annual Conference on 11/1/24! The magic of our conference comes from our membership, so help us bring it to life. This year, we have two ways to contribute to our meeting content. You can submit a full session proposal or just an idea for something you'd like to learn more about. There is a link in our bio to a form for each of these options. Members have also been sent an email with more details about submitting proposals and ideas.
